They were censoring speaking out in opposition to currency reform that was entirely detrimental to the colonies and beneficial to a political and economic monopoly. And they were being taxed without representation for a war they never wanted. It was the complete subjugation of a formerly free people. If it is terrorism to fight that then anyone with a pair of balls and a functioning brain in history is a terrorist.
