Is there any theology for Zoroastrianism on par with what the Abrahamic religions have?
>>17965525Read the Avesta dummy
>>17965525I can already sense how this topic will become. Anons will rush to claim that Abrahamism is influenced by Zoroastrianism, but I'm already saying that this is unlikely at best and false at worst. I'm very sleepy and sad right now. I'll continue my argument tomorrow. And about your question, no, we don't.
>>17965530It doesn't even compare, Avesta is a pair of stories without even a chronological continuity, they are separate from each other>>17965532Muh
>>17965532Christianity and Zoroastrianism influenced one another during AD. Zoroastrianism as it was during Cyrus and Darius's reigns were different to what it became later
>>17965584No, the adoption of Zoroastrian traditions would be unlikely considering that they were forbidden to have anything to do with them.
>>17965532BOTH WERE INFLUENCED BY ATENISM FROM EGYPTBUT ESPECIALLY JUDAISM
The Gathas emphasize moral duality, similar to Abrahamic religions.
Check out An Anthology of Philosophy in Persia vol. 1Iranians mog Aperahamists. Christianity and Islam both attained their highest expressions in Iranicate form, btw.

>>17966451Lol, as if Christians have never done anything "forbidden"
>>17965533All the chronological continuity in the bible was added later lolIt's a mishmash of unrelated Semitic legends, most of which had nothing to do with each other, that later authors forced into a coherent narrative It's the equivalent of the Song of the Nibelings for Germanics, a bunch of myths and historical events conflated into one thing by a semi-literate society which can't dispute it because of said semi-literacy. No one can call you out for bullshitting or ripping off other stories because they don't have any other sources. Nobody is writing comprehensive histories, its just oral tradition of bards who have every incentive to lie and make shit up. The modern equivalent would be some insane fanfiction where Harry Potter blows up the Death Star then teams up with General Patton to rescue his sister Jackie Kennedy from Adolf Hitler (leader of the Taliban) and the dragon Skynet. Now imagine a worldwide apocalypse occurs, all records are lost except for this one psychotic fanfiction. Any society that came after that would have no way to dispute it, they'd treat it as a genuine historical text.
