I hear many opinions on Mosley and his plans for the UK, that it would either bring about the collapse of the empire (I guess faster than it already did) or that he would have saved the entire world some how.Personally I don't study bong stuff much at all so I'm pretty uninformed on the topic to make any real judgements.

>>17983201There was no saving the British empire in the 1930s no matter what was done, but I doubt he would've caused it to collapse any faster. Unlike Hitler Mosely was a civic nationalist and was probably less racist even than Churchill. His idea of the empire was one where white Brits, black Africans and brown Indians were all equal and worked together, albeit in their own communities, for the betterment of the whole empire, united under (what he considered to be) the ideals of British civilisation. Unfortunately for him, had he given the Indians and other groups their self rule to work equally for this empire, he would have found out the majority of them didn't want to be a part of it, just like Atlee and Churchill did when the dominion of India (that Atlee also has intended and hoped would stay a part of the empire) declared itself a republic and established a more independent foreign policy.

His policies of state intervention and private enterprise would have torn the country up so much that England probably wouldn't exist today.
