How did China manage to defeat the US led coalition in Korea with an unmodernized and lowly army?

chinks don't have any care whatsoever for life (not even their own)
>>18000494Nobody beat anyone. The US didn't win and neither did China. The Dino Soviet split wasn't apparent then. Nobody but Macauther wanted a nuclear war.

>>18001158>The US didn't win and neither did ChinaThe US war goal was to protect the independence of the south along the 38th parallel, the goal of China was to boot the US out and conquer the south. Only one of these sides met their goals.
>>18000494The non-propaganda answer is that the Chinese surprised the Americans with the speed and secrecy their troops managed to get into their positions. By all means the American infantryman was just as mediocre as they were in most of the wars Americans have fought while the Chinese used battle-hardened veterans from the civil war who's tactics(based around sneaky infiltration) did pretty well as long as they didn't have to face proper trenchlines etc. Once they reached the current DMZ however that was exactly what they were facing and the fact that a single American regiment had more firepower than a Chinese army corps made itself known.
Speed and firepower

>>18000494Americans pound for pound have the worst infantry in the world, which is why their doctrine revolves around retreating and calling in airstrikes than claiming they killed 5 gorillion enemy combatants. This is a page out of the jewish way of waging war which they copied. Notice how in every war they supposedly kill 10 gorillion enemies but still end up losing. Interesting.

The People’s Volunteer Army numbered around 200,000 at first, eventually reaching over a million. Quantity mattered when facing smaller US units spread thin.
>>18000494They didn't defeat anyone in the end as the US pushed them back. The reason they nearly defeated the coalition was due to the hubris and incompetence of key US leaders. The entire war is a rubberband from one end of the peninsula to the other, then back half-way.>>18003211Vaporized battalion says what?
