Zelda in general for the early parts of its existence drew heavy inspiration from the real world. The Triforce being a stand-in for the Christian trinity being one such example, but another is the Muslim Crescent being the original symbol for the Gerudo (the chief rivals of Hyrule) and in Ocarina of Time, Hyrule field is in the shape of Germany (ie. the Holy Roman Empire if you look at it from above. Hyrule also has a flood myth as shown in Wind Waker, apparently the religious themes of some of the newer titles resembles more Shinto than it does Christianity
