Why did God give us free will if He can punish us for using it? Wouldn't it be better if people didn't have it and lived according to the rules that God came up with?
>>18003510Those are 2 different "gods"
>>18003510He did come up with rules, it's your choice to follow it. You have the free will to ignore it, but the whole point is that to differentiate between good and evil is already innate in every human being. Simply put, you can be a shitter or a winner. >>18003528No there isn't
>>18003510This whole world literally exists because God wants to rape, murder, abuse and dominate people. God is not good he's the source of all evil and the reason why people behave evilly. He believes evil is necessary for him to be the sole-enjoyer of reality because he enjoys doing evil things to people and abusing them whereas he abuses me if I even think about things he considers "evil" like being attracted to women with dark hair, or eating cheesebugrers/corn chips, or going to college, or being attractive, or anything involving the ocean or maritime settings, or anything involving anything beautiful in nature, or wearing nice clothes, or having a nice house, etc. I get abused for literal private thoughts and fantasies in my brain that I don't share with anyone because he's a retarded sadist who doesn't value free will at all because freedom of the mind is the most absolutely basic freedom that is a prerequisite for having any other kind of freedom. My mind gets violated every second of every day and God abuses, harasses, terrorizes, threatens me if I think about literally anything he considers desirable including things as petty as plain corn chips, women with hair colors darker than blonde or red, or the solid color blue. I am an eternal victim because God forces me to reincarnate eternally as the frame of reference and sole-sufferer of reality, the only persistently real person in reality who God dominates and abuses eternally through his temporarily manifested bodies that aren't constrained by the same material limitations as me, all of them violating my mind, sharing the same mind with each other, united in opposition to me, capable of appearing or disappearing at will, not requiring sleep, not having to react to physical stimuli, bodies ability to function not tied to their physical health/anatomy, not affected by harmful stimuli, etc.
>>18003510God is a retarded sadistic tranny who created this world and forced me to exist as the sole frame of reference for it and only persistently real person in it so that he can dominate and abuse me through everyone else in it. He doesn't value "free will" in any way whatsoever except for himself. He thinks he should be allowed to do literally anything he wants to me through other people while he thinks literally anything that I think can be used as an excuse to abuse me, not just sexual thoughts but literally anything, food, women, houses, clothes, sports, careers, space, fantasy, adventure, anime, colleges, etc literally anything that I think about God believes that he can use as an excuse to abuse me he just sometimes likes to pretend that his only or main problem is sexual fantasies because he thinks it gives him the moral high ground when in actuality he abuses me for literally anything I think, and him raping my mind and harassing, abusing, terrorizing, threatening etc me for thinking about naked women is inherently significantly more evil than me thinking about naked women, thinking about naked women isn't even evil in the first place whereas him violating my mind is, him abusing me is evil, thinking about anything isn't evil, God violating my mind is a greater evil than anything that I could possibly think about and there is literally zero "free will" in even the most restrictive definition of it without freedom of thought because the most restrictive definition of "free will" would be "free possession of a will" and "free thought" is less than even "free possession of a will" because thoughts don't represent genuine wills, the chain goes thought(things desired and undesired, willed or unwilled)-discernment(identifying what is willed or unwilled)-will(desire to act/possession of will)-intent(genuine intention to enact will)-action(enacting/actualizing will) and God intervenes at the "thought" link of the chain, before "free will" even begins.
>>18003533>>18003538Here's the resident shlomo chat bot to poison the well.
>>18003530>but the whole point is that to differentiate between good and evilwhat for?
>>18003542Because the whole point of Man is to rise above and earn their place in God's graces, otherwise we could have just spawn pointed in Heaven and there would be no real point to our existence. Good is all the more valuable when discerned through shit thrown at it and its existence more justified.
>>18003510because its all fake.
>>18003510I don't mean to pull a Jordan Peterson, but it depends on what you mean by free will. Classically, free will means that your nature gets to express itself. In case of humans, this would be communion with God - our default state from which we fell. Deliberative choice, which is what you probably had in mind, is just a faculty humans developed to supplement the fact that our innermost nature is no longer free to express itself. It sounds like these are just technical differences, but it actually makes a massive differences in the big picture. Having free choice doesn't mean you get a license to do whatever you feel like at the moment. Having free choice is a method through which you are supposed to recover your original freedom, where you are not bound by passions, sin, fear and death.
Love, trust, and faith require freedom. If everyone were forced to follow God mechanically, worship wouldn’t be authentic.
