Sinning is missing the mark and in the case of God, doing evil, because God can only do and be good so going against him is sinning. It baffles me that no one has made a complete list of sins from the bible
>>18003915Many people have. But it's like making a list of what to not say on the first date. Needing the list is a problem that having a list can't solve. Having said that I did try to make a list from the NT specifically and it did help in the beginning.
>>18003923>Many people have>Doesn't post it
>>18003976Why would I post it when my point was that it doesn't solve much?
>>18003983Then what's the point? Are you a protestant, orthodox or catholic?
>>18004265The point is a relationship with Christ. I longed for a method to have a taste of the divine for very long and as an Ortho I almost envied Catholics and their libraries of technical theology. Now I see it's all like straw. There is no "method" to a relationship, not with a date, not with Jesus - you can definitely read books that help you, but memorizing propositions or lists it's never going to do the trick. It's super practical for confession though.
>>18003915How do you get on an English thing and talk about that? Iniquity is clearly way worse. Sin is a little guy. Iniquity is the big dog. You got pushing agendas in the name of Jesus getting people(kosmos as humanity) killed.
>>18003915I was always taught that sins are basically breaking any of the ten commandmentsAre there more then 10 kinds of sins?
