yooo, I’m now at a class called “History of art” and they’re explaining things about the ancient egypt, specifically about mummies and pharaohs. Does anyone know what mummification process they used?

Nobody cares, retard. But stay huddled in the corner typing in your phone like an autistic faggot.

Rip out the guts, pack the body in several inches of natron salt for a few weeks until it turns to jerky, then dress it up and bury it. Rinse repeat.

They would save certain organs at times, but a lot of it was a matter of cost. There were cheap mummifications for Plebs, then the fancy stuff for the Pharaohs. Interestingly, they never kept the brain, or thought much of it, so they just scrambled it, liquified it and poured it out the nose. They believed your "thoughts" came from your physical heart, not your head.

There was a US "historian"/professor that made a mummy about 20 years ago, following the ancient texts and methods and it worked quite well. The body is in storage at the University and they check on it once a year just to be sure all is well. I want to say it's at Princeton, but it may be NYU.
