In 10,000 BCE nobody had to go to work everyday. Why do I have to spend the majority of my life going to work where I have to drive to a 9 to 5 job and then drive home and be too tired to enjoy my life? Who tricked humans into going to work every day? I seriously don't think thats why God put us on this Earth. Thoughts?

Modern work culture mostly emerged during the industrial revolution. People didn't necessarily have a fixed work schedule in pre-industrial times, peasants especially, as their amount of labour was determined by seasonal factors and could include long hard days and short slow days. 80–120 days off per year wasn't uncommon because of mandated saints' and feast days. People also tended to take multiple breaks per day. The invention of clocks led to 9 to 5 type arrangements becoming more common.
