Why do blacks dominate the culture of every country in the Americas where blacks were enslaved (USA, Brazil, Cuba, etc.)?
entertainment ≠ culture
They just played some western instruments when they weren't working. Were able to do this since they didn't have to maintain society as a whole. Actual African music is nothing to write home about.

Because over time, they became the cultural signature of nations in the Americas. When people think of American music, it’s jazz, blues, and hip-hop, with Brazil it's samba and capoeira, and with Cuba it's son and rumba.
