That it is possible to be justified before God but then lose that status and then be damned eternally presupposes that God is 'trying' to save everyone, but failing. Because how can they be justified for whom Christ did not die? And why would God predestine men to be reconciled to Him for a period while having no intent to commune with them in eternity? But they grossly underestimate the infinite value of the life and death of Christ to suppose that He could die to save sinners and yet they not be saved; that He could have given His life for each and every man, and do everything in His power to their salvation, and yet none be saved. I believe however that the death of Christ was sufficient for each and every man, indeed infinitely more than will actually exist, were He only willing to give Himself for them and save them. So it is very obvious that everyone who is saved will be saved eternally because Christ died for them, whom God predestined to eternal life in Him, and in so doing procured eternal redemption and an incorruptible seed of faith for them, so each and every believer can be fully assured of the absolute certainty of his salvation.
