The Marxist lineal view of history mirrors Christian (Or rather Abrahamic) history.>Both view the world as being in a "fallen state", and overcome with one specific "evil" that it's the cause of all (Original Sin for Christians, Oppression for Marxists). So history slowly "progresses" through stages and prophets (In Marxism this would be equivalent to the changes from Slave society to feudal and then Capitalist), until there is a "Big Event" (Last Judgement/Revolution) where the world is healed and brings entrance to a final Utopia (Kingdom of Heaven/Communism).Marxism is, by all accounts, a type of Christianity that lacks the spiritual aspect.
Duh. Marx based his ideas on Hegel's dialectics which is just an idealized secular retelling of Christian thought.
The Second Coming, when God rectifies injustice, punishes evil, and inaugurates the Kingdom of Heaven, will be nothing like anything Marxist theorists have come up with.
>>18022904lovely post
>>18022904It's more like this.
>>18024439Really? That image is monstrous.
>>18022904Marxism is the anti-thesis of Christianity. >“men must first of all eat, drink, have shelter and clothing before they can pursue politics, science, art, religion and the like” (“Speech at the Grave of Karl Marx,” Highgate Cemetery, London. March 17, 1883, transcribed by Mike Lepore).Compare this to Jesus’s words in Matthew 6:31-33:> 31 Be not solicitous therefore, saying, What shall we eat: or what shall we drink, or wherewith shall we be clothed? 32 For after all these things do the heathens seek. For your Father knoweth that you have need of all these things. 33 Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.
>>18022904The historical origin of Marxist thought has been the criticism of religion by Feuerbach (and other people of that period). Marx was, if you allow this analogy, a member of the "new Atheists"-movement of his time.In contrast to the modern speciesmen, he doesn't stop with the negative result that religion is most likely false, which is subject to querelles anyway, but attempts to contribute something to replace religion. In fact, Marx was not that different from other thinkers of that line.Looking into Comte's orginal Positvism:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PositivismWhen you seriously wants to replace religion by something different, not just one religion by another, you need to analize and copy the function of religion in a society. Marx and Engels, of course, does this probebly unintentionally.Their dealing with religion ends when they got political involved. The later developments were influenced by the thoughts of the authors as younger men.
>>18025012That's not christianity, that's what Jesus actually said. I disagree vigorously with OP and his image, but if we change "Jesus" to christianity his progression at least makes internal sense.
>>18025028>That’s not Christianity>that’s what Jesus actually said Christianity is dictated by what Jesus said or else it would not be Christianity.
>>18022904This is a retarded interpretation. Marxism has a very progressive view of history, a development from primitivism to eventual post-scarcity through a natural historical process. Communism is built on the back of capitalism, which is built on the back of feudalism, etc.It belongs on the rising beast part of your chart.
>>18025045I'm saying OP could be viewed more favorably if we change his wording to refer to the institution of christianity. The medieval church did preach statism and status quo.
>>18025071Yes it is true the church preached status quo and statism, but the fundamental ideology of this institution is opposed to that of Marxism. >“The opinion, which asserts, that Christ and His disciples had nothing, and in regard to those things, which they did have, they had no right, is erroneous and heretical.” (Pope John XXII, Quum inter nonnullos, 1323)Even before the founding of Marxism, it was condemned by the church.
>>18025087OP image has nice aesthetics and engaging flow chart design, but the content is really objectionable. I won't go very far defending it. The core idea that left and right share a philosophical foundation is thrown out towards the end of the first column and the second column is fantasy. The worst trend of modern politics is inventing fake ideologies to clothe tyranny, so OP gave us three, plutarchy, scientific racism, and blatant self-service. They're posed as modern improvements on Christendom and the political spectrum. It's something I'd expect to see on military grade D&C psyops.
>>18025104I would agree, OP as usual is a faggot.
>>18024479lmfao right, I think he was being sarcastic
>This is a retarded interpretation. Marxism has a very progressive view of history, a development from primitivism to eventual post-scarcity through a natural historical process.Which has a deep theological core. Marxism, just like many other modern-day ideologies, believes in some metaphysical process called "progress".This process magically transfer the human condition to a moral perfect one.
Well, duh. Most theories of history prior to Abrahamic Doomsdayism were cyclical. They slowly lost out to telos driven theories but then came the final blow of rapid pace of technological change for the past 200 years. Nowadays cyclical theories survive only in history books. Maybe when technological progress reaches its limit and stalls can non linear views of history make a comeback.
>>18022904Trying to tie Christianity to Marxism is willfully ignorant or in the more likely case, purposely malicious. Marxism is the application of the Talmud in a modern day environment. The founders of the ideology were deeply connected not to Christianity, but to Rabbinical Judaism. The main people they were trying to discriminate were their Christian neighbors.
>>18022904Marxism is revolutionary, same goes to NS, Fascism, Liberalism, etc... and yes, christianity in the ancient times was kind revolutionary.
