Paganism is true, why aren't you Pagan?
Also, get a trip if you're gonna do a Q&A.

But it's not. There are no such things as gods or deities. The only supernatural agent that exists is that which explains the origin of existence, God.

>gods don't exist
>deities don't exist
The christian god is a deity though????

I don't think there's supernatural beings up there in the sky. I think that there is an uncaused cause though, a first mover so to speak, and this I consider God.

what're you gonna have for dindins?

on a more religious note, is the comparison between Episcopalians and the Church of England correct, in reference to their emphasis on tradition, aesthetics and ritual? Specifically I mean in the sense of there being a lot more carried over from the Catholicism it branched from than what other Prot denoms haeve?
I know little to none about the Episcopal church so sorry if it's a dumb question or if drawing comparisons is insensitive in some way

We are part of the Anglican Communion along with the Church of England and are in full communion with the Archbishop of Canterbury (currently vacant). The Church of England is basically the mother Church of our denomination, we're like the American branch of it, but it's not like Catholicism in how you have the Pope as supreme pontiff of the entire Church. Each province in the Anglican Communion is totally independent and self governing. Also there's different levels of worship and theology basically. Liturgically I am high church but theologically I am liberal.

>do you support israel?
I don't have strong opinions about Israel-Palestine.

ohh didn't know this. so the comparison is less of an interesting observation and more like stating the obvious.
>Liturgically I am high church but theologically I am liberal.
Not a bad middle ground, from an outside perspective. Interesting you say that because I've always found Prot churches that I've been to in the UK (mostly Anglican) to lack a structured liturgical element, which I gather High Church is all about. (new term for me thankyou) So they must have been another flavour.
It's tough because most of my appreciation of Christianity, outside of the notion of faith, is the importance of ritual. Liturgical worship as a means of Grace. Spirtual experience, being closer to God etc.
It's what has drawn my interest to Catholicism and the various Orthodoxy denominations over Protestant ones. On a personal level anyway, religious history is another interest entirely.
Without giving away to much location-wise about yourself (unless you want), what sort of building is your church?

It appears this thread is being monitored. Praise be, I guess

Amd how did you arrive at the conclusion that this god is the christian god and not any other god?
You can use the prime mover argument to insert any god you want with any religion.

Why don't you convert to Christianity?
