Welcome to this year's tournament on /his/, now for the third installment.

>How do I enter my historical character?
Give the name of the individual accompanied with an image.
>Who are eligible?
Any historical or mythological individual. People who are still alive or died in the past 25 years must have been historically significant in some regard before the last 25 years.
>Nominations
The nominations shall run until 64 historical characters have been nominated, or 128 if there's a sudden upsurge of nominations. Given the speed of this board, the nominations will likely last two to three days.
>Seeding
The seed order is given by the last two digits of the post. Further sorting is given by nomination order.
>Voting
Simply pick the figure you prefer more in the form.
>Current voting form and voting times
The current voting form can be found in the replies to the anchor post below. Each round lasts 24 hours starting 21 CEST.
>Thread conduct
I will only make a new thread once this thread archives, remember to check the anchor post for the voting form. All discussion of the tournament should remain within the current active thread only.

I nominate Brian Boru.

High King of Ireland from humble roots, he united the entire island under his rule and brought an end to the Viking Age in Ireland. Also referred to as Emperor of the Scots, he was probably the greatest single Irish King to ever live.

He is also the source for the "O'Brian/O'Brien" name, as the dynasty was founded to mark descendance from him after his death at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014.

Nominating Constantine the Great
>>
I think Michael Schumacher and Jane Goodall raise an interesting question. Michael Schumacher arguably was at the height of his career during his late Ferrari years, while Jane's main career took place between the late 50s and 70s. It was deemed last year that a character should be best known for the things they did prior to the last 25 years.

A bit of an open ended question I suppose for the thread.

Hey op instead of a straight 128 man single elimination bracket you should do 32 groups of 4, each guy in a group faces the other 3 once, top 2 advance to a 64 team bracket. That way you don't get something like Hitler vs Jesus in the first round knocking one out too early.
>>
>>18043871
I suppose Michael the formula driver extends far enough in the 90s and Jane has a recency bias.
>>18043886
I assure you 3 ways at the very least will crop up. The vote count will guarantee ties.

I am counting up the nominees to make sure

Well that's rare
>>

Vlad's already in

Give me an image of Stephen you like if you want him in.

>>18043999
Ah ok, Vlach rep in then i think I'm set lmao.
>>
>>18044001
The thread's at image limit brainiac. Just mock up the bracket before we all lose interest

All right, that'll do.
I suppose there's no point in waiting idly by for over 20 hours so I might as well start the round soon. Might mean a shorter round or shifting around the start times.

I strongly suggest you include at minimum
>1) country of birth
&
>2) year of death
if you want to avoid representing yourself as a pathetic lazy amateur who nobody will take seriously.
For example
>Thomas Jefferson, USA, d1826
>>
Is it too late to include Lyndon "the B is for BWC" Johnson?
>>
>>18044075
Well I'll be.
Not in the bracket, perhaps the form.
>>
>>18044078
Depends, does the tournament lose all of it's integrity by disqualifying the Venus of Willendorf?
>>
>>18044082
I'd 100% vote for the Venus of Willendorf over that big nosed traitor
>>
>>18044082
No, that would make sense
>>
>>18044082
Why would she be disqualified?

>>18044086
The niggers would have rioted even harder without him you stupid fuck. Nixon is the true traitor but you're too mentally immature to handle that conversation
>>
>>18044092
Because its not an actual person you dork
>>
>>18044052
You don't have to start it early or short the round, just make a new thread with the bracket for discussion and remember to link this thread in the OP
>>

I suppose saturday can be sabbath then. Honestly if the mods autosaged this thread at this point it'd be cool, since then it'd be clear from the OP that the tournament is in fact on.
>>
>>18044104
>Ron Paul vs. Cornwallis
Bless you OP. We need a thread about this solely for the reaction images

>>18044102
Ok, and...? We're on a Mongolian goat herding image board who the fuck cares
>>
Hold onto your voting tickets tightly as I make sure the bracket is up to the seeding protocol. You may see some shuffling around in the bracket.
>>
I think this is the first year Emperor of /his/ has had a full 128 instead of just 64. Wonder what prompted the boost.
>>
>>18044102
The Venus of Willendorf is based off a real woman, we just don't know who she properly was.
>>
>>18044114
Make a new thread for visibility and discussion, link this one
>>
>>18044119
I suspect it might be the image.
>>
>>18044127
I suppose. Mods be gentle
>>
>>18044135
It was me, sorry. I inspire competition in others (and I hate it).

I highly doubt that the image limit will be reached in future threads, so I will from now on only make a new thread as it archives.
>>
Grim reaper should not be in that's not even a human
>>
>>18044163
No, no, it was based off a real man, we just don't know who he properly was.

>>18044119
I might have submitted a few contestants once I heard 128 was possible.

Best quality thread in a long, long time that I've seen. Last OP I remember who got the board this active was the US presidents 4chan contest during Covid-chan that featured that unhinged schizo who would copy him. Those were the days...
