Not quite as traveled as I would like to be in my own country. I want to visit more of New England, also Florida, Louisiana, and Hawaii. Lived in both Nevada just outside of Vegas and Arizona just outside Phoenix for a couple of years. I don't actually mind the desert as long as there's a dry heat but indoors is hell on Earth at night without AC

are the michigan militia still a thing?
>>
>>18044677
Effectively, no. Still officially exists. However, it is an absolute shadow of its former self. Estimated to have more than 10k members at its peak in the 90s, it has now dwindled to a few hundred at best. No significant news stories about it. You see, after McVeigh (his farm was here, I’ve driven past it before) people slowly started to leave and the membership fizzled out because people started to view them as a white supremacist terrorist organization. The most prominent member, I think he was their famous leader, moved to Alaska if I remember correctly.

However, there is still a Militia movement in Michigan, so I guess you could say it lives in spirit in the form of several successor organizations? Many dissident groups. Anti-Government militias who train and do community outreach. There was a kidnapping plot against the current tyrant governor Gretchen Whitmer during COVID because of her draconian lockdown measures that were like actually abusive, cruel, and violated our rights. That was what drew the line in the sand in this state. Those who defend and support her actions and even worship her cannot be reconciled with those who saw the effects of her cruel abuses of power firsthand. Michigan is a “purple state” in terms of politics, but it’s important to note that HOW it is a purple state is fundamentally different before and after COVID. Before people did not allow political differences to divide them, households and neighborhoods were blended between democrats and republicans and nobody considered who belonged to what party before socializing. Now Michigan is only a purple state in the sense that it can go either democrat or republican in an election, but people are more divided. I know former berniebro mod libs and mod leftists who got radicalized by Gretchen’s lockdown regime.

People outside of the state who have a demhumanizing view of conservatives and white people thought that this POOR innocent woman was being VOLENTLY persecuted by these EVIL CRAZY HICKS when they raided the capital with an armed squad and attempted a coup, those who live here know that they were previously normal people who snapped.

I am in no way saying I condone the kidnapping as it does classify as an act of terrorism, but I am saying I’m not surprised those people lost it and snapped.

Amongst those who remember how bad it was, how it negatively effected so many lives, and saw the damage it did firsthand, there was a general air of nonchalance about the fact that a militia laid siege tot he capital and attempted to seize and coup a sitting governor. Not that any of these otherwise normal people supported senseless violence ever before, it’s just that they were numb.

I can't remember if I ever visited Georgia and South Carolina or not, feel like I have been driven through them at least once.
Anyways I never visited any other countries and don't really feel like I want to because of autism. I struggle to socialize here in the US where I've lived my whole life and I don't think I'll fare better in a place where I don't know all the languages and customs.

I consider myself to be relatively well-travelled.

None of these include places I have stopped with the train or plane, but places in which I have actually spent time.

Being well-travelled is truly a subjective question. I don't consider myself to be all that well travelled, and I'm >>18045819. Then again, I've never travelled to any countries poorer or more unsafe than my own, so I congratulate you on that.
