One aspect of Apollo I find is less often talked about is his role as a polar god. Apollo went to Hyperborea every winter. So, when the winter was over and he came back, it was a big deal.

It's interesting to note that since Apollo went to Hyperborea, a mythical land in the North, he was known to bring hardcore eurasian shamanistic practices back with him. This could have meant that many of the Apollonian mysteries and rites may have consisted of lots of shamanesque rituals
>>
Apollo is the patron of both medicine and archery, this is in fact connected because before high quality bows were available, their flimsy arrows relied on poison, and poison mixing is the domain of the shaman, just as making medicines, and drugs to enter prophetic trances. Music mixes in well, both its use in rituals and vibrating strings as a way of observing harmony.

Interesting points for sure, Asclepius, God of medicine, is also Apollo's son. Chiron is known for his arrows as well

Is this the Nords' attempt to claim Apollo? You're going to have to put some more effort into validating the existence of Hyperborea and if any cataclysms could have spinned the Earth in a way that its climate changed into the frozen tundra it became.
And shamanic practices and medicinal wisdom are not unique to any one culture.
Anyway, you already have a similar figure in Baldr, go and finish up Ragnarok so you can save him and get rid of Sunne lol

All the Indo-European gods have more in common with each other than with the rest of the world

plenty of greek gods or myths were mixed with cretan and pelasgian ones, possibly even egyptian. it is tempting for cultureless northmen to graft themselves on this tradition but it's weak at best. same for romans, plenty influences with etruscans and phoenicians, way more than than with gauls or germans. mediterranean will paint you in its SOVL

why are you seething? It's literally a fact that Apollo went to Hyperborea during the winter

We don't even know how the language look like, since using only "pre-greek" substrate, it's not possible to reconstruct nothing, and keep in mind that much of the "pre-greek" are actually Anatolian, and not necessarily pre-IE. Pelasgians was just a geral term for "native people" of Aegean sea. So please, if you could tell to us how who were the pelasgians gods......

Same with Heracles who dipped his arrows ("toxons" in Greek) into the blood of the hydra, which is where we get our modern term "toxic" to mean poisoned. Cupid also uses "poisoned arrows" to infect people with love and desire.

Prior to hypodermic needles, there wasn't really any other way to get a drug into the bloodstream effectively and quickly. Eating and drinking takes a while and isn't always effective, where as a "good" poison can kill anything it's intended for. Even Pygmies use(d) tiny bows with poisoned arrows to hunt elephants.

As for "Apollo going North for the Winter". That's a great solar metaphor of the Sun "never setting" at certain times of the year in the extreme North, as well as the accompanying stretches of darkness.

The Greeks knew the Earth was (probably) round, but there were still a few hiccups on the details of the planetary bodies at the extreme ends of the globe.

Apollo is also the "Anti-Dionysus", and many philosophers have compared and contrasted the two archetypes, most famously Nietzsche who favored the Dionysian/Bacchic approach to life and art, rather than the hyper-constrained, perfectionist "Apollonian" worldview.

No, Odinn is Hermes/Thot, the chthonic, Wisdom seeker/trickster archetype. They both have winged helms and everything.

Nigga they come from Ireland which got it from Atlantis. This is where the term Phoenician comes from, Fin is the Irish word for blonde or fair skinned. Finicians. This is exactly how South Americans described their visitors with advanced tech who built their ziggurats and why Ancient Egyptian pharaohs have blonde hair. It's also no coincidence why Alien abductees claim they look Scandinavian.

>Apollo is also the "Anti-Dionysus
In fact, this is nonsense and a figment of the imagination. Apollo and Dionysus are literally linked, often identified with each other, or Apollo was the son of Dionysus.
>>Furthermore, one of the most famous theological oracles of late antiquity, at the sanctuary of Apollo in Claros, claimed that Zeus, Hades, Dionysus, and Helios-Apollo were all one and the same god.

Essentially, everything is connected to Osiris and Horus.

Hercules = Apollo

there is a God whose personality is fragmented into many hypostases, like fragments. The ancients knew this. I read that Jewish priests often convinced pagans that their God was a god with many names.

Learn how many gods the Phoenician Melqart was identified with. The Temple of Solomon was built in the image and likeness of Melqart's Temple. In Melqart's Temple stood two columns inscribed with unknown symbols. These are the Pillars of Hercules, Boaz and Jachin, the Masonic pillars.

Herodotus
>In the wish to get the best information that I could on these matters, I made a voyage to Tyre in Phoenicia, hearing there was a temple of Heracles at that place, very highly venerated. I visited the temple, and found it richly adorned with a number of offerings, among which were two pillars, one of pure gold, the other of smaragdos, shining with great brilliance at night. In a conversation which I held with the priests, I inquired how long their temple had been built, and found by their answer that they, too, differed from the Hellenes. They said that the temple was built at the same time that the city was founded, and that the foundation of the city took place 2,300 years ago.

Hyperborea is located in a parallel space that can be reached through a hurricane, so Quetzalcōātl (who was co-ruled by Xolotl = Anubis, the wolf-dogs are symbols of Apollo, Odin, and Dionysus, and are associated with snakes, just as Anubis is associated with the serpent Osiris, that is, Dionysus) wore a shell sawn in half around his neck, resembling a hurricane.

Only there is a terrible price to pay for bliss.

In fact, this is a low-effor AI Bot.

Apollo is "Type A" uptight, but beautiful Chad.

Dionysus is "Type B" drunk, but beautiful Pan.
