The "Trinity" was a later invention to obfuscate the incestuous connotations surrounding the Virgin Mary / Jesus. After all, if God impregnated the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18) and Jesus and God are one and the same (John 10:30) then that means Jesus impregnated his own mother to give birth to himself in an act of magical incest. Disgusting. Hence why the idea of a "Holy Spirit" that isn't Father or Son becomes essential to the story.

there is only one true God and that is the unification of the Spirit in Christ which does the will of the Father, so in other words the trinity is an inextricable axiom of Christianity in spite of how the enemies of God ever strive to destroy that understanding everywhere they can

Matthew says Mary became pregnant through the Holy Spirit. The point is that it wasn’t through sex at all. Early Christians made a big deal out of this to separate the story from pagan myths where gods slept with women. In their view, it was a miracle, not a physical act.

>Hence why the idea of a "Holy Spirit" that isn't Father or Son becomes essential to the story.
When Jesus says this in John, he isn’t saying “I am the Father.” He’s saying he’s united with the Father in purpose and essence. That’s why Christians later hammered out the idea that the Father and Son are distinct persons but still one God. So it doesn’t mean Jesus somehow fathered himself.

>invention to obfuscate the incestuous connotations
That’s not how Christians ever understood the story. It was stressed over and over that Mary’s virginity meant there was no sexual element. The whole “God impregnated Mary” picture is more of a modern misunderstanding than what the original writers or believers thought.

Genesis alone tells you that that's God, and there's the Spirit of the Lord
Then it says
"Let us make man in OUR image"

Right, the Trinity is already referenced in Genesis chapter 1.

No, the early Jews were polytheistic and a lot of the plural deities in Genesis stem from the fact their tribal God was originally El and Elohim literally means "Children of El"

Impregnating your mother is still incest if there's no sex involved. That's like saying shoving a turkey baster filled with your cum up your mother's vagina is completely innocent. Sick freak.

>>18046620
Notice how the incest angle isn't even denied, you're just comfortable worshipping a literal motherfucker.

The Spirit is sent by the Father and the Son; relationships are relational and theological, not biological.

*Heretic Jews
The Bible tells you over and over that the Israelites fell to idolatry and polytheism multiple times, and God always sends judges and prophets to whip everyone back in line

It went on repeat until the Babylon happened and they were so traumatized, they began worshipping the Law instead

You call yourself a Christian but don't worship Jesus?

Christians collectively form the living body of God and so for them to "whorship" anything would be God worshiping that thing, which is sacrilege.

>Christians are Luciferians who see themselves as literally God
Might be a bit of a departure from normative Christianity tbqhwyf

Wrong, it was made up and enforced as the only correct interpretation of the bible at the first council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Simply to kill off all the smaller sects like Arianism and centralize control. The added bonus being that 3 was a highly respected number amongst the polytheistic religions too which would make further conversions easier.
Pure politics.
Same with the Sunnis destroying the Shias and most of the family of Muhammad being killed.
Pure politics.

The idea that Christians collectively form the living body of God is not "luciferian" or any other insulting slur. There are ample verses attesting to the fact that they form such a body and that salvation is only possible within it.
>>
>>18048140
The idea that each Christian is God isn't something most Christians would agree with no matter how you try to frame that in terms of theological mental gymnastics.
>>
>>18048145
>The idea that each Christian is God
That is not what I said. I said that they collectively form the body of God, Christ, in which they have their salvation from death.
>>
>>18048148
Which is really just semantics to say the same thing, which is "each Christian is God."
>>
>>18048162
Each drop of water which collectively form the ocean is the ocean but alone each drop is not the ocean. Surely you can comprehend such a simple plan for salvation.
>>
>>18048172
But every drop of water in the ocean is of the same essence as the ocean, which is where your idea that all Christians are literally divine comes across as heretical.
>>
>>18048249
The Spirit is not the Son or the Father but in Christ they are united into the one true God.

Denying the divinity of the Spirit is the one unforgivable taboo because doing so is the same as saying the Son was not required to redeem the fall.
