Kolchak had a real retard moment in declaring separatists equally evil enemies of Russian as bolsheviks. Cooperating with anti-communist governments of Eastern Europe to have them open a second front against bolsheviks could have really helped, but no, he still had to larp like Russian empire wasn't gone forever.

Legion consisted of men who were anti-imperialists (but against Austro-Hungary!) did certainly see the analogy and thus had great mistrust against Kolchak.Legion was by far the best military force inside Russia at this point and it's control over rail roads was crucial for Whites. This led to Kolchak infact travelling with them towards east. Finally they had enough of the intellectual midget and handed him over to Bolsheviks, in exchange of free travel to back home. Bolsheviks executed Kolchak. Legion returned and got their independent country.End of story.
