Which European countries have the most kino histories in ranking/tier? Excluding Greek and Roman Antiquity; true European history began in 900 AD.
>TurkeyNice try Osman
>>18047103If we’re going on post 900AD, then UK, France, Germany are all top tier choices. Russia, Spain, the Turks, Austria (if you’re including the history of Habsburg Holy Roman Emperors), and Greece (if you include Byzantium) are good choices. The Netherlands, Portugal, and Italy are okay. Hungary, Poland, and Ireland can be interesting, not that bad.
>>18047103Switzerland. Just chilling while everybody else was chimping out about long forgotten causes.
>>18047103Portugal and England and France. It's hard to choose. All of us Euros are just so damn rich in history and culture, all of it kino. But I find Portugal most interesting I guess, being such a small country with a fairly big empire they seem like the underdogs in a way. They were pioneering but also limited by their small population. The way they treated natives was interesting too, and their interactions with the Japanese and Chinese, being some of the earliest European contact with the far east, had laid the foundations for cultural exchange which we still see today, not to mention the trade and introducing tea to Europe. Being the first truly global empire, begining more than 500 years ago and ending only 26 years ago, is an incredible feat. Quite an underappreciated country imo and I'm English.
What a BS map. Greece should be knocked down a few pegs, did nothing since the middle ages. Croatia was a battle ground for a dozen empires so bump that up. Czech history mirrors Germany so they should be equal. Cankeep going on but basically you're showing fame, not good history
>>18047103Without RomeYou would not exist
>>18047103even taking in count from 900 AD, this map is bad lol>Poland in C?????The commonwealth, the resistance in partitions, the cossacks, the republics...>Turkey in B?????Even if I dislike the ottomans, they had one of the biggest empires in euroafrasia, conquering the balkans, egypt, etc etc...>Cyprus and Ireland in F???Holy shit>Andorra and San Marino in F???Harsh to put them there even if they are microstates.>Denmark in B???They literally controlled the nordics for a lot of time and had a lot of influence.>Switzerland in D???Just the history of its formation is kino. Some of you all have to start reading more history aside from your usual Germany-France-Italy-Greece-England
>>18047103>denmark in same tier as russia or turkey>ukraine/finland in same tier as poland or hungary>britain not Seven switzerland/ireland is more interesting than some yellow/brown countries

>>18047103I fixed your the map for you. All European countries have kino history, even places like Moldova or Monaco have very intresting stories behind them, even if they're short.
>>18047130>it was 1527>gave their lives on the steps toHeaven>Thy Will be doneNever forget the 147But yeah they did take it easy after that
>>18047883I'm not polish, and you not giving a shit because your ironypoisoned twitter memes tell you "poland bad because muh hitler" does not take away the fact that they have epic history
>>18048308what have those two little islands in Estonia done to you anon??
>>18048308This. OP's map only shows the poster's ignorance of each country's history.
Viking invasions, Capetian consolidation, Hundred Years’ War vs. England, Wars of Religion, Napoleonic Wars.
>>18047110Turkey belongs in A category considering Constantinople maintained a population of over 100k for over a thousand years and the founder of western philosophy aswell as many other great thinkers of antiquity spurred from the coasts of anatolia.
>>18047103>Norway>SThey didn't do shit after Viking age, basically the Danish, later Swedish lapdogs and than boom independence in 1905 iirc, and that's it.>Armenia>Georgia>DArmenia has longer written history than much of Eruopean nations and was christianised earlier than the Roman empire itself with at least 2000 year old history.Gerogia is interesting in its own way, I particulary like Gerogian middle-age and their struggles with Mongols
>>18047103>San Marino>F Tier>Albania, Armenia, and Georgia>D Tier>Serbia has better history than Switzerland >Ireland F tier but Bulgaria C tierIs this nigger serious!I can only excuse this if you are young and/or just getting into history for the first time.
