God can interact with humans.

>>18047363The Primordially Existent. In contrast with primordial nonexistence (a redundant concept, since it does not and has never existed, but is defined as... not existing).Through a long chain of reasoning (based on observable facts of the universe and contrasting which is or isn't most likely between potentialities), I believe Jesus Christ is the most likely homologue. Everything is Stasis, then Pathos, then Catharsis. In the moment before the creation, all things were in discord, Stasis, awaiting the Pathos - the violence - of God to divide the light from dark, day from night, and so on. And it was written "God looked upon his works and saw they were very good." Catharsis.
>>18047363This is an important question.A lot of people seem to conceive of God as a magic dude who sits in the clouds. But the Abrahamic conception of God is the 'infinite substance' a higher form of being of which all of reality is dependent on.

>>18047363This is actually a very valid question. God, in semitic languages, traces back to "lord". This seems to be at least related to how the concept is treated in other cultures too - a powerful entity. Because this word comes from a time where the natural and the supernatural were not strictly differentiated, god had strong spiritual connotations. And when you use capital-G, we are talking about the classical monotheistic God - the source of all being that transcends all definitions and thus cannot ever be sufficiently defined. This is by the way why Jordan Peterson doesn't usually answer "Do you believe in God" if by "believe" the speaker means "affirm the existence of [insert definition]". Because God is necessarily beyond definitions and even beyond existence. The question, if asked philosophically, is nonsensical.

>>18051689>I cannot define realityThat sounds like a you problem, fedora.
>>18051707Not really. It's a representation problem. While offering a myriad of different types of reductionist methods, language never actualyl "defines" reality entirely, like we do in math or geometry. We merely define aspects of reality within narrow reductive models. And if you spend all your life relying on these models without ever challenging them, you might end up thinking...>>which you can't define,>>which makes it a non-entityMistaking the map for the territory. But to give credit, where credit is due - yes, your argument is valid. If what we manage to linguistically represent is the totality of reality, then not having an actual definition means there is no actual reality to something. Sadly for this worldview, many publications are dedicated specifically to announcing things in reality we did not yet know about (thus they're not defined).

>>18051725>Mistaking the map for the territory.I'd rather mistake the map for the territory than claim the existence of a territory for which you say there can be no map, no evidence, no direction and no description.I am being reductionist by virtue of the natural limitations of language (and shitposting). You are being a delusional schizo atheist with extra steps.
