Is this claim Christian or anti-Christian?

Why don't you turn your Vatican City into an islamic slum like Malmo, Mr. Leo?
>>
Stop thinking that the Pope should cater to your political beliefs, dumbass
>>
>>18049964
He goes out of his way to cater to politics, and he does so from a position of spiritual leadership and moral guidance to over a billion people worldwide. When the Pope calls for an agenda whose logical conclusion is a world government, he should be called out for it.
>>
>>18049972
He doesn't
He is as fence-sitting as possible
>>
>>18049940
>love thy neighbor
doesn't say 'love thy invader/replacement'
you're supposed to think about your offspring first
>>
>>18049972
you don't need a global government to make westoids stop starting wars or squeezing the rest of the world
A society that hears "global government" when someone says "love thy neighbor" is a deeply sick one
>>
>>18049974
If he's fence-sitting about a political topic then he should not speak about it. Even if his position is really "neutral", it leaves an opening for evil, which is guilt of negligence from his position.
>>18049986
Boy do I wish the west would disentangle from the rest of the world. Do you realize that before post-ww2 internationalism Europe had a larger share of the world's population than Africa?
>>
>>18049980
I don't want to "invade" or "replace" people, I've helped out my neighbors before, I just want to be somewhere I can afford to live
>>
>>18049991
Lol that's not even asylum seeking. You are absolutely not morally entitled to economic opportunities in a foreign land.
>>
>>18050013
my entitlement to live here isn't moral but legal, the result of my new country's immigration laws. (Although I certainly have sympathy for those fleeing poverty.)
Does that mean I should be exploited or mistreated because of my origins, or my human dignity should be denied?
>>
>>18050018
1. Good, you acknowledge that a foreign country is not obligated to let you in because of your economic needs.
2. A country is entitled to possess an agenda to preserve the social characteristic and political dominance of its core ethnos, even if it grants residence to foreigners.
>>
>>18050026
1 is true in the case of my own circumstances, but I do think there are situations in the world where such a moral obligation exists (i.e. when a country is squeezing another country dry through its economic and military power)
Regardless 2, these are political questions, and they fundamentally ask what sort of country and people we want to be, and under what circumstances outsiders should be entitled to join the political community. I'd rather be known for compassion than known for shutting the door on those in need, and I don't think the Pope is wrong for advocating likewise.
>>
>>18050048
1. Where is the limit? At what point does the historical debt cease and the country's moral obligation ends? I'm inclined to agree with you, but I don't buy the solution being a multi-generational drag. If 2 countries were previously entangled and one had responsibility for the other's material condition, the departing solution should be an immediate and permanent one, without future entitlements should the downtrodded country continue in its anguish.
2. The Pope is a spiritual leader and moral guide. He should not lecture to states about universal treatment when their fundamental duty is to take care of their own people, when he knows(or should know) that such decisions could wind up being to the detriment of their people, and so we might end up with a scenario of a state failing its duty thanks to the Pope's advice. When a topic is purely political, he should not get involved.
>>
In video games, you get less points if you kill less enemies, so this begs the question, why shouldn't we enalize countries whose military doctrine doesn't kill enough people and fast enough?
War isn't a video game, yes, you are disposable, yes, your wife and especially your daughter should be at risk of being bombed and/or raped to death. So what is this blud yapping about?
>>
>>18050048
Outsiders should never be allowed to join my political community, under no circumstance. Especially outsiders who are powerless in their own shithole and came here because they themselves destriyed their own shithole through low IQ behavioral patterns that WE DO NOT NEED IN MY COUNTRY, NIGGER.

Empty platitude that can never be reached. It is basically saying "I am a good person." and no one is allowed to call bullshit because you want "good thing". Well yeah, of course everyone who isn't a cynical piece of shit wants "good thing". That does not mean your way of gaining "good thing" (looting the treasuries of productive countries for those who aren't) is a good thing in and of itself. It most likely results in more misery.

I feel like everyone ITT is missing the point

The ideal is that everyone in need should never be turned away, that they're given the opportunity to find a better life and to escape hardship. This is something that is worth striving for, and ideal worth perusing.
You want to talk about whether or not such an idea is realistic or feasible, but that's a different question entirely. If it's not something that's feasible, we should investigate how it could be made so rather than outright dismissing it as a possibility. I feel like this is just a post hoc rationalization for being against immigration because if some racialist sensibilities you already harbor rather than a conclusion came to through any kind of practical consideration.
>>
>>18050539
But that's easily solved. The standard of living is higher the more free people are to live their lives. America was founded on the principle that "your life is yours" and in not even 200 years it bypasses every other country in wealth and health that still relied on petty collectivism and "do as I say or else". Most of those countries are millennia old and have 10 times the amount of citizens America had and they still lag behind to this day, even when the US is collectivizing itself again. Poverty is the default of life, wealth is the result of peaceful interaction between humans.

>>
>>18050548
US is the only rich country that lags behind on life expectancy and prenatal and natal death stats. it's also pretty much the only country in the developed world where medical bankruptcy is still a thing. also maybe look up average homicide rates of cities with a population above 1 million in US and europe. the amount of billionaires and gdp per capita are not metrics meant to measure the life standard for an average citizen.
>result of peaceful interaction between humans.
ah yes, the peaceful interaction US has conducted with every country it has bombed, invaded, sanctioned or blockaded to extract resources and influence.

It's worth striving for in the sense that defeating sin is worth striving for. It does *not* mean we should conduct ourselves as if sin has already been defeated.
Incidentally, this type of universal society can only be found at the end of Revelation, with sin and death no longer present.

Just one - do you have an actual argument or will you appeal to context that apparently wasn't known to neither the saints nor the disciples? As difficult as it might be for your earthly ears, you are actually called to love your enemies. To pray for them. To ask God to forgive them. It would be incredibly convenient if agape was stipulated on things we already find dear and cool as men of the flesh, such as politics, socioeconomics, race etc. But we'd be lying to ourselves.

So do you have an actual answer or not. Because turn the other check is about minor disagreements
>>
>>18051650
Turn the other cheek is about people trying to harm you.
>>
>>18051650
Turn the other cheek is about literal violence lol and so is martyrdom. Both are scriptural. I'm not sure what else you'd like.
>>
>>18051638
>open borders tikkun olam is NOT Christian in tradition or in Spirit

It's also not really Jewish, but more rooted in the Marxist ideas of internationalism (workers of the world uniting), and redistributing of wealth. Open borders is basically nothing more than the attempt to redistribute wealth on a global scale, that's why you only get greedy criminals coming towards the West, open borders is mostly an economical program
>>
>>18049940
Yes the papist church has been staunchly anti-Christian since the council of Trent. It is now staunchly anti-white.
>>
>>18051633
>Of course not, the commandments aren't for states. They're for individuals. States won't be saved.
Don't play semantics. *individuals* leading their countries, and *individuals* carrying their orders, are not obligated to let foreigners in.
>>
>>18051659
>>18051661
Jesus’ instruction to turn the other cheek, found inMatthew 5:39, actually means to turn the tables on those who seek to harm us and to overcome evil through creative acts of nonviolent resistance. Jesus is not claiming we should never resist those who seek to harm us. In fact, that would contradict the Hebrew Bible’s principle oflex talionis, which Jesus quotes: “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.” (1) The aim of this principle is to establish justice and to curb vengeance. So if someone knocks out our tooth, we can’t knock out five of theirs in retaliation.
>>
>>18051659
>>18051661
Do you believe the message of "turn the other cheek" is to submit yourself to the mob? It's very clearly about not escalating confrontations.
>>
>>18051682
No, turning the other cheek is about something much worse, the resignation of all earthly matters, and giving yourself up entirely for a heavenly other above you. It's not even pacifistic, it's explicitly nihilistic
>>
>>18051672
It's a much bigger difference than a semantic one. What states ought to do, how economies ought to run, how courts ought to decide has almost nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ. You think economists ought to give two copper coins to the Church while the state budget is near empty, like the old woman in the Gospel? All states will fall apart, all nations will go broke and all human justice will be overturned. You're not a state. You're a human being made in the image of God, in contact with other human beings made in the image of God, temporarily living the illusion that your task is to secure some "state".

>>18051678
>Jesus is not claiming we should never resist those who seek to harm us.
I am not either. But the teaching is indeed about non-violent response to violence. We don't get to explain that away or hide it behind "well the state..."

>>18051682
What is martyrdom about?
>>
>>18051687
Right so the non-violent reaction to mass migration of people that actively hate you is to not let them in, not to fund them and deport them.
>>
>>18051687
Human groups are different from each other. The only universal society described in the bible is the new heaven at the end of Revelation, after sin and death have already been vanquished.
Individuals or states are not morally obligated to let foreigners in their land.
>What is martyrdom about?
Is it a sin to not be a martyr?
>>
>>18051699
And since it's a non-violent reaction, you surely won't need the army or the police for it. Deal.

>>18051700
>The only universal society
See, there you go trying to build a state again. You're not here to heal a whole society. Heal yourself first and then try to design things for others.
>Is it a sin to not be a martyr?
Is it a sin to be a martyr? We can doge each other's questions all day long. At the end of it, Christ's teachings aren't contingent on whatever you think your state will find most convenient.
>>
>>18051710
You are really disingenuous. And I get the feeling you really aren't christian and are just using the Bible to further your own goals. Because I'm still waiting for the scripture saying to roll over for your enemies
>>
>>18051710
This entire discussion is about moral entitlements or obligations. Whether something is a sin or not matters a great deal for this discussion. It is not a sin to defend yourself with force, it is not a sin for a group of InDiViDuAlS to keep foreigners out with force. Individuals are not entitled to access to a foreign land. Replacement is explicitly described as a punishment in Ezekiel 25
>>
>>18051718
>[dodges my question twice]
>You are really disingenuous
>[restarts the discussion]
You got your answers. If you didn't understand them, you can stop replying, you obviously aren't streamlining this discussion towards clarity, but merely obfuscate.

>>18051726
>Replacement is explicitly described as a punishment in Ezekiel 25
How do you reckon God would react if they systemically and violently resisted this punishment?
If your stance is that in a narrative vacuum someone could at some point use some means to resist some invasion, that is completely granted. That's not the discussion we're having, clearly. Anons above are trying to heal and save entire societies as though they're saints.
>>
>>18051733
>How do you reckon God would react if they systemically and violently resisted this punishment?
Since the punishment is already decided, He would see that their resistance would fail. That doesn't make resistance wrong on principle, it simply means that it would not succeed in that instance due to their past affronts to God.
My stance is not limited to military invasions or barbaric raids, it is specifically about access of to foreign lands - you are not morally entitled to it. Restricting access doesn't make me a saint, and it's also not a sin.
>>
>>18051745
>it would not succeed
Or it would succeed and then yield an even bigger punishment.
>Restricting access doesn't make me a saint, and it's also not a sin.
It doesn't necessarily make you anything because as I said, you are not a state and the teachings have almost nothing to do with states. Your state will fall apart sooner or later. Your soul will live forever, if you keep the teachings.
"Woah what? Letting people in? You mean just rolling over while my wife gets stabbed 83 times in the skull????" sounds a litte distant from the teachings if I may as a sinner evaluate the vibes...
>>
>>18051733
You didnt give any scripture. You pretended like turn the other check means to roll over for people attacking you. And you didnt even bring it up.
>>
>>18051755
See >>18051687
>>
In Jesus’ day, hitting a person on the cheek was a forceful insult, but it was not considered a violent assault. Here, Jesus is specifying a strike on the right cheek, which implies a back-handed slap. Striking someone with the back of the hand (3) could demand a doubled fine because it was “the severest public affront to a person’s dignity.” (4)

But Jesus is not suggesting that his followers should stand around and take abuse. First, turning the left cheek was a bold rejection of the insult itself. Second, it challenged the aggressor to repeat the offense, while requiring that they now strike with the palm of their hand, something done not to a lesser but to an equal. In other words, turning the other cheek strongly declares that the opposer holds no power for condescending shame because the victim’s honor is not dependent on human approval—it comes from somewhere else. (5) This kind of action reshapes the relationship, pushing the adversary to either back down or to treat them as an equal.

Is your implication that they will aggravate their punishment for resisting God's punishment after it was specifically prphesized to them? That would be fair. But if your implication is that they aggravate their punishment for resisting their replacement, then you are wrong.
The rest of your post is word salad. It is not a sin to restrict access to foreigners.

For the 10 fucking years, literally twice as long as fedoras were ever a phenomenon, christlarps have been cancerous shitposters starting flame wars.
>>
>>18053204
You speak with such emotion yet you're avoiding the issue. I trust you about as much as I trust a raving crackhead IRL.
>>
>>18053206
If I'm a crackhead then you're driving a schizomobile.
>>
>>18053212
Why, because I talk about spam with spammers? Make a better thread if you want to be treated better. This is /pol/ spam and godjak spam, it's fucking shit.
>>
>>18053214
Yrs, it's exactly because you think you're talking to conspirators in a plot against you.
>>
>>18053296
If I make the same thread tomorrow, it will be deleted under 20 replies. Normal people can't get away with making /pol/ shitpost threads. Obviously there's something going on, it's not directed at me but I'm placing myself in the path.
>>
>>18053298
There's literally an atheist wojak thread up right now. Again, for the last decade christian identarians have been berserk shitposters.
>>
>>18053312
That thread is less than 20 minutes old and it is spam, and it will be deleted. Not really an argument, and your position is crazy. Offensive spam operations are ok because users are christian? No they aren't.
>>
>>18053316
my bad it's actually two hours old. The point stands
>>
>>18053316
And yet you're not in that thread detailing it to call OP a bot. You 100% advocate christian spam as le based and board culture. Absolutely jewish levels of disingenuousness.
>>
>>18053367
The content of shitposts isn't important at all, the overall situation on the board is what I'm referring to. You seem human and english-fluent at the moment. It's weird that you accepted my premises but we can put that down to the flow of the conversation. By definition I'm not posting in most bot threads and sometimes hit a false positive, but your thread was selected because it's more /pol/ christian crap. Coincidence I guess.

Depends on whether you are Catholic or Protestant.
>>
>>18051822
As a former catholic this shit honestly drives me nuts and was a huge part of why I left the Catholic Church.
None of these cunts give a shit about Jesus or his message. They don't care to be christ like, frankly they don't care to behave in a Christian manner period.

Its all a larp and social capital, they get good boy points for showing up to Church and no one cares when they leave the church and then go out of their way to make the poor and miserable suffer.

My pagan faggot tranny ass collects donations for local charities and shows up to homeless encampments with blankets, pillows and sleeping bags while they vote to throw them all in prison or straight up call for them to be euthanized.

At this point I think Christianity has been almost totally hollowed out by capitalism and bigotry leaving nothing but a bunch of deus vult larpers intent on creating a covenant kingdom that only cares about mosaic laws and totally cuts out Jesus
>>
>>18053442
And yet your outward conformity to the law is worthless in the eyes of God who can see into your heart, tranny.

I dont believe in Yahweh
I worship Dionysus
My heart is filled with kindness and love meanwhile yours is filled with darkness and hate.
I find it funny that you think I care about your beliefs other than the fact that your co-religionists want to force your laws and beliefs on me
>>
>>18053468
>I dont believe in Yahweh
I don't remember asking
>My heart is filled with kindness and love meanwhile yours is filled with darkness and hate
What you call "love" is truly hate, your unfruitful works of darkness can only bear death. Rightly did Solomon say that you love death. You call white black and black white, good evil and evil good.
>force your laws and beliefs on me
Yeah, like prohibiting murder and theft. How awful that you aren't given free reign to be as evil as you desire
>>
>>18053472
Wow because no one had laws or marriage or anything else until the Jews and Jesus showed up right?

The reality is laws against wickedness predate your Bible, predate your "son of god"

>What you call "love" is truly hate, your unfruitful works of darkness can only bear death. Rightly did Solomon say that you love death. You call white black and black white, good evil and evil good.

Womp womp everything I don't like is evil, everything i like is good, I'm an idiot and think that my inner voice is actually the voice of God

Yes we know anon you've been creaming yourselves screaming this for 2k years no one cares outside of your cult
>>
>>18053475
>Wow because no one had laws or marriage or anything else until the Jews and Jesus showed up right?
There is no reason to have laws if there's no God.
>laws against wickedness
What's wickedness?
>Womp womp everything I don't like is evil, everything i like is good, I'm an idiot and think that my inner voice is actually the voice of God
Sounds like you
>>
>>18053478
There's no reason to have laws without God

Why do Christians thinks it's ok to be monsters if god doesn't exist, like the only thing keeping you from raping and murdering is the threat of a lake of fire?
You think this makes you a moral person?
Its absurd
>>
>>18053500
>it's ok
Ok? What's that mean? By what standard is something ok or not ok? Says who?
>threat of a lake of fire
There is no threat of a lake of fire against me or any who trust in Christ, because He suffered in our stead, He suffered the totality of the penalty for all who believe that they may know peace with God forever. The reason why we whom He has given spiritual life to seek to live morally is not to escape His judgement, for Christ has already delivered us from it, but in gratitude and desire to show our love for Him who saved us.
>>
>>18049940
It is Christian. We are imago dei first and governments second. To rely on your culture and budgets is to rely on yourself instead of on God.
I don't think there are many Biblical ways to argue against what the Pope said. The best I've seen is "but if I reject the poor and the hungry WITH LOVE then I should be fine, right?"
>>
>>18053515
It becomes much easier to argue against when you remember the socio-political context and the fact what he's really saying is "your country needs to take in billions of illegal aliens and the government should steal your money to pay for them"
>>
>>18053521
It doesn't become one bit easier because the commandments aren't "don't let illegals in" and "watch so your taxes aren't used for welfare". It is to love your brothers, sisters and even enemies.
>>
>>18053527
God doesn't need to give commandments telling us not to break the law. It is implied by the nature of law.
Not everything in scripture is intended for implementation by the state. All men everywhere are commanded to repent and believe the gospel, but this does not imply the state is to attempt to compel them to do so with the sword. To take care of the poor is a laudable goal, to do so by way of a welfare state is an unethical means. Scripture models for us how the civil magistrate is to enforce the laws of God in the example of biblical Israel, which enforced the law according to God's own specifications by the judicial law. The state is prohibited from transgressing the bounds set for it by God and claiming more authority than it is given because Christ and not man is King.
>>
>>18053506
Ah ok anon
Why not go for the original instead of the diet version

Instead of putting your faith in Jesus of Nazareth why not go for the original son of God who was born died and was reborn? Don't get me wrong I'm sure Dionysus is a little flattered they knocked him off to make Jesus of Nazareth into "the son of god" when they were deciding what polytheism to rip off and what to destroy.

So yeah go for Dionysus who was dead and was reborn who will eventually replace his father Zeus if the prophecy is correct and bring in a new era of humanity.

The interrogation by pilate, the wine story, son of a god, association with spring all of it is ripped off of Dionysus. The Interrogation isn't even ripped off of an ancient tale either its lifted straight from the Bacchae.

Plus anon you know all of us have a little piece of Dionysus in us? That's the origin of the human soul while our bodies were made from the ruins of Zagreus and the titans

Just make them all stay home and fix their own shit. Not my brother, not my problem.

>God doesn't need to give commandments telling us not to break the law. It is implied by the nature of law.
There are plenty of legal ways to legalize an immigrant.
>Not everything in scripture is intended for implementation by the state.
The goalpost is if something is Christian or anti-Christian. How a particular state might see or handle a situation is not my concern.
>To take care of the poor is a laudable goal, to do so by way of a welfare state is an unethical means.
I suppose Christianity is unethical to you then, since giving away your posessions and giving to the poor is one of the key ideas. Again, you're free to think this way. My goalpost is whether the tweet is Christian or not, not if it matches your anti-welfare views.
>The state is prohibited from transgressing the bounds set for it by God
Remind me again which current legal immigration laws did God sign off on?
>>
>>18053584
>There are plenty of legal ways to legalize an immigrant.
Then they can come in legally
>The goalpost is if something is Christian or anti-Christian. How a particular state might see or handle a situation is not my concern.
How is the state handling the situation in a Christian or anti-Christian way not relevant to whether the state's handling of the situation is Christian or anti-Christian?
>I suppose Christianity is unethical to you then, since giving away your posessions and giving to the poor is one of the key ideas. Again, you're free to think this way. My goalpost is whether the tweet is Christian or not, not if it matches your anti-welfare views.
This is embarrassing, attack a strawman, then retreat to the bailey. It speaks to your own level of confidence, and merits more contempt than reply.
>Remind me again which current legal immigration laws did God sign off on?
1. If there is no border there is no nation and if there is no nation there is no law 2. Biblical law clearly, consistently distinguishes between the native Israelite and "the sojourner".
>>
>>18053594
>>There are plenty of legal ways to legalize an immigrant.
>Then they can come in legally
Or we can legalize them. The question wasn't what they can or can't do, but if treating starving people at/beyond our borders is Christian.
>How is the state handling the situation in a Christian or anti-Christian way not relevant
Because Christianity is not interested in theosis of governments, but in individual people and congregations. You're taking a state-first approach, which completely derails how you think about the commandments and about what the commandments aim to achieve.
>This is embarrassing
Cool!
>>Remind me again which current legal immigration laws did God sign off on?
>1. If there is no border there is no nation
So none? Well, this is embarrassing. Then perhaps you can at least tell me where God signed off that your particular nation ought to survive, as opposed to the thousands and thousands that he let die?

You're giving me little else than "I bet God would love our state". Maybe he would. Maybe he wouldn't. Doesn't really affect the fact we should treat people with dignity.

Get ready for Vance 2028 because the next time democrats get in power and do this, it will mean the end of our country as established. One huge immigration jubilee where 50 million chinese, indians, and hispanics flood the country in four years. No europeans will be allowed. (to leave the EU bloc) It will be the end.
