How come the American Revolution was so christarded while the French Revolution just a couple years later was completely against the church and religion, borderline atheist?

The American revolution was not christarded at all. The founding fathers were deists and freemasons and so on.
There was a later christfag cultural revolution in the US, which never manifested in France.
