The english language mostly comes from french. It is very obvious when like me, you can speak both. Why are the nigels trying so hard to deny this? What's their issue?
>>18056982Now compare it to German.
>>18056990That's literally my point, it has little similarities with german. It is even more different on the grammatical field. And yet they claim the opposite, also unironically summoning nords heritage. English is just inverted and weirdly pronounced french.
>>18056982No, it mostly comes from English you tard. Just because it has French influence doesn’t mean it’s mostly French. There are so many basic nouns, verbs, and other features of the language which are completely unrelated in both.
>>18056982>Why are the nigels trying so hard to deny this?Because it's literally not true? The grammatical constructs of English developed separately from French, and there is little French influence on the structure of the language. English, with only words from Old English and Norse is still perfectly legible and usable, not that anybody does it. The language which English is most closely related to is Frisian.
