Every single English translation of the Bible kept the camel misspelling.

"camel" is just correct though
Alternatives are only found in medieval manuscripts and even then, a tiny minority of medieval manuscripts. Not only that, it makes more sense, since "large animal passing through a small hole" is a common idiom in Semitic languages.
On what basis do you suppose it's a misspelling, given that most manuscripts, including all the earliest manuscripts, support this version of the text?

It isn’t a misspellings and it’s not an English thing. The Latin vulgate Bible uses “camelus”

It's not a misspelling, The original Hebrew described a unique rope-making process, not the animal itself.

>original hebrew

it's an old meme, but it checks out. seriously though, there is no "original hebrew", always check the greek, then go from there.
