A Muslim Egyptian for example has no idea what Christianity even is and appears shocked and traumatised if it is explained to him what Christians believe in even though he has the Copts who are supposed to be in their millions living right besides him. Likewise a Muslim Moroccan, Pakistani, Syrian, Libyan, Somali etc all of them view Christianity as like an alien belief almost as strange as something like Hinduism or Taoism. They do not view it as something that they are accustomed to encountering. Even the Shi'ites in Iraq and Iran appear to shocked and dismayed to be told what Christians believe, as if they have no clue at all.The only exception to this seems to be Lebanese Muslims who appear well acquainted with Christians. Yet we are told by Muslims that "Christians and Jews have always lived in peace with us, we protected them in Andalusia and we afford them their rights, Christians have been in our countries for thousands of years and still have their churches standing"If this is the case that churches, Bibles, Christianity and Christian culture are all normalized and integrated into Islamic lands for centuries then why do Muslims act in amazement at encountering an actual Christian?
