Why do people treat Mongols and Turks as good "fighters"(i.e. good at pitched battles)? Turko-Mongol success was due to anything but pitched battles. They would raid, ambush, manipulate, and terrorize their enemies into surrender. Even in Ottoman times this was their primary means of advancement into Europe, with Akinji raiders devasting the frontiers, making defending them worthless.

Because that's not the metric of how warriors perform in war are measured. Pitch battles were rare, armies did not engage in it unless they knew they had a chance in winning.

The aggregate of these small engagements play a bigger role in determining the course of war more than pitch battles.

The steppe people weren't good fighters, they were excellent fighters. There's a reason why every single military textbook from the Eastern Romans to the Chinese emphasized their hiring and recruitment.

I don't think anyone ever said they could "fight" well, just had goo tactics and tech that allowed them to hit and run while striking from a distance. Very hard to beat if you don't have the same thing, or better. That being said, they could never build a "civilization" to last and the minute they got a taste of city life, they settled down very quickly.

On a side note, it's amazing nobody thought of stirrups sooner. Even proper saddles are relatively recent. The Greeks, Romans and Celts just use a thick blanket and some reigns. Then again, they've always been fond of riding bareback.......ZING!

Sure buddy, do whatever it takes to undermine non-whites if it helps you sleep. They didn't really do any conquering, it doesn't count.

Stirrups were known in Korea from at least the 2nd century and themselves got them from the nomads

Whites are just terrible at riding horses

Most whites speak Indo-European languages though (the OG steppechads) and a good chunk of the ones who don't speak Hungarian
Horses were a superweapon until gunpowder, simple as

Stirrups are a convenience, trained horsemen ride fine without them. The only time they really become useful is when the rider charges with a lance because it helps them brace for the impact.

I was referring to glorious and ancient and White cultures well before the birth of the magic stick jew. the "second century" is much later, indeed.
