It's better to look at language useage over time in which case you see that many Germans have lived in "Slavic" countries for centuries. There were even pockets of Krauts in Transylvania and shit. "Slavs are inferior....." to their immediate neighbors, which was technically true, but no inferior to all others over all. There were plenty of well known Slavic military Chuds and Victories over the years, and every German was well aware of them.
