Who's one of the most unlikely people to change history?
Someone with little to no redeeming qualities, someone insignificant or worthless who had a rather large impact on culture/humanity.
For example, the Columbine shooters were 2 retarded high schoolers who inspired pretty much every single school shooting that came after them, and majorly affected American politics (and edgelord culture).

20 million people die in WWI, maps redrawn, empires collapse
>>
>>18069315
He probably didnt change anything, he was just the catalyst for a problem that was likely to blow up sooner or later
>>
>>18069318
Likewise the Columbine shooters were just a product of their time. If not them someone else would have sparked the school shooting trend.
If anything Columbine should be seen as a sort of miracle, since they planned to bomb the building which would have resulted in hundreds of casaulties. Along with Timothy McVeigh, the copycats they could have inspired would have been much deadlier than the school shootings we have been "accustomed" to since.
>>
>>18069321
I wonder why they didnt. The trend probably wouldnt have lasted that long since banning bombs is alot more popular than banning guns which would make them rather hard to get for the average teenager
Bombs may have already banned back then but it was before 9/11 so who knows
>>
>>18069321
Sometimes I wonder if our timeline would unironically be better if they blew up the building rather than shot it up
If they succeeded, the act of blowing up the building may have been too over the top and complicated to inspire depressed homicidal kids to carry out an attack on their own
>>
>>18069325
>I wonder why they didnt
If you're asking why they didn't blow the school up, they tried but failed. Their bombs didn't go off so they decided to go in with their guns instead

'School shootings' were already a big phenomenon in the US by April of 1999. They were just an instantiation of the trend, not its progenitors.

>Moses Lake, Washington
>Pearl, Mississippi
>Dunblane, Scotland
>Paducah, Kentucky
>Springfield, Oregon
>Jonesboro, Arkansas
>Bethel, Alaska

All of these were deadly, high-profile school shootings taking place within a few years prior to Columbine.

Jack the Ripper. Some say he gave birth to the 20th century.
>>
>>18069321
Waco started this cause and effect. McVeigh did his thing. Columbine was supposed to be an attack to surpass McVeigh, failed in that regard but became something else.

First thing that came to mind for me too. The Columbine shooters (and mass shooters in general) are small fry compared to what Princip unleashed.

>>18069325

They were retarded bombmakers, simple as. You could tell that from the fact that they thought The Anarchist Cookbook made a good instructional manual.

Pros use the United States Army's Improvised Munitions Handbook

I was in high school that year. I was a sophomore. AMA.

The radical French revolutionaries were all repulsive mutants who exploited the peasantry(who wanted the monarchy intact) for their own fringe goals. Thankfully they also turned on each other

In what way? Like how the decade was? I was pretty conservative even then. I was completely out of step with the times. I remember April 21st kids in the hallways were staring at me expecting to open fire. I had very few friends and the ones I did were the types who were more likely to be involved with Occupy Wall Street later on than the Tea Party (i was into punk rock and hardcore and my music taste didn't match up with my views. I even had a band - i was the guitarist and main lyricist, and even sported a mohawk for a short while before shaving it all off)

This is why its impossible to argue with people on this site, they are fundamentally disengaged with society and history. Most importantly reality as if you can effectively ban guns let alone bombs
>>
>>18069321
The Columbine shooters did not create a trend, the explosion of media coverage of their ultraviolence did however. If mass shootings were not media circuses every single time then I have a feeling almost no one would be taking a rifle to school.
>>
>>18071987
Which is why the trend is deterministic and would have started at some point anyway. Cable media acted according to its nature.

This is predetermination and you're just wrong.

Unironically Hitler. He was a complete nobody that honestly had no realistic profitable future ahead of him.

Imagine if he made the shot. This greasy little incel would have gone down in history.

The funniest thing about the Black Hand was the absolute clown fest their initial attempts were, and succeeding anyway because of pure dumb luck.

Rasputin
Charles Giteau (Killed a POTUS and was retarded)
Hitler and Princip but they've already been mentioned
and of course, a poor Jew from the fringes of the Roman Empire that created a breakaway cult from what was already a fringe religion
