Is the fall of constantinople the greatest event to happen in all of history?

It kickstarted the modern era and with it everything that came after:
the renaissance
scientific revolution
protestant reformation
european enlightement
second agricultural revolution
industrial revolution
opium wars
napoleonic wars
french revolution
american revolutionary war
american civil war
bolshevik revolution
world war 1
world war 2
cold war
and much more that i missed

very little stuff thats relevant for today happened before the fall of constantinople

>was throwing down of the heavenly kingdom's eastern gate a good thing?
No, no it was not. The dark gained access to the light and no good came of it.
