The partition was just europe guilt-tripping after the holocaust and giving away land they didn't own to people who weren't from there.Could it be done today? It didn't work, because the partition didn't include the East of the Jordan river in Palestinian territorial calculations. Partition would have been more palatable if Jordan and Palestine were seen as one singular Palestinian entity, with a Bedouin and Jewish minority.
