How come al-Andalus had more scientific achievements in a few hundred years than all of modern Spain?Can you even name a single modern Spanish invention?
I used to dislike Spain for this reason until I realised how much the Reconquista genetically whitened the peninsula. Now I am ambivalent.
I don't really care about inventions. If leftists, muslims and africans whine about colonialism while celebrating Al-Andalus they logically deserve to die.

Make a list. Because from your picture all I can discern is that; as typical the extent of arab invention is constrained solely to architectural nuances that build off vaults/domes and that you attribute chess to them (?).
