Seems like with the rise of china and the decline of the west, more and more people are seeing that our modern system is unsustainable.

Nah. What you're not expecting is Dengist-style export-driven (and state-led) industrialization exhausting itself as a growth model for China. The results of that will probably be unpredictable but you might see them liberalize more for an economy in which Chinese consoooom more than they do.

Working-age population also peaked around 2015 and total population started shrinking in 2022. Fertility rates are below Japan's (~1.0–1.1). China won't collapse but Dengism was able to succeed in the short run by riding demographics and infrastructure before running up against the limits of fiscal stimulus and abundant low-wage labor.

The demographic crisis is a real problem for China but they could conceivably reverse it with a scientific policy and enough money. They have already begun reducing the cost of housing which has been proven to be an important component in improving birth rate
South Korea has only spent $200 billion since 2006, twenty years, on reversing fertility decline. That's basically nothing, they're just not trying to solve the problem until it's too late. Shortsighted

No.

China’s “socialism with Chinese characteristics” is functionally no different from the corporatist model of Fascist Italy. Both are capitalist economies with heavy state intervention that relies on class collaborationism, that is quite literally the entire economic basis of Italian fascism.

China also heavily embraces ethnonationalism akin to that of Italian fascism and justifies authoritarianism with the Confucian model which is no different from Mussolini arguing that authoritarianism was somehow more “efficient” than democracy. Modern China is functionally no different from Fascist Italy, the only difference being that China is less incompetent

This is a midwit understanding of China. I doubt you could define socialism or capitalism.

Can you even define capitalism? No one who calls China capitalist can give an coherent reasoning as to why. Provide evidence and justification.

>>18101184
It's China that is contradictory.
They are a commie shithole that politically evolved to fascism while cow towing to big capitalist cock for a while because the soviets dissolved.
A specific example would be the fact that some chink nobility believes it was because the soviets were not retarded enough to be stalinists while others believe the shitlibs are the greatest things ever because they murdered everyone who would think otherwise
>Hegelians murdered their entire opposition in an Empire and now rule the post apocalyptic wasteland of their own design while bickering
>A good rule of thumb would be that any success is due to them being bad leftism, any failure is due to their inherent leftism
Same contradictory shit from any old platonist takeover really

China allows private property, has free markets, and has even more billionaires than America does. If China were truly socialist, none of these things would exist

It's completely retarded to even compare Mussolini's economy to modern China because Mussolini was interested in autarky, where as China's economy is structured towards overcapacity. China is not interested in expanding its borders, but prompting economy stability to maintain social harmony. Mussolini was attempting re-industrialize Italy because he ran on expanding Italy's borders to prepare it for war.
Their economic systems are the same whatsoever because they both had different political goals.
>China allows private property, has free markets,
China doesn't have "free markets" or "private property" in the American or even liberal sense. Property in China is leased by the government, because the state owns it. And they have a highly regulated market economy with high tax burdens on local governments.

The E.U. overtook China for the #2 spot but they don't have a propaganda fund. China is absolutely experiencing a growth slowdown and likely will not hit Japan levels of GDP per capita anytime soon.

>>
>>18101055
The rapid rise of China doesn't have anything to do with capitalism or communism. They are still industrialising, the US had an equally explosive economic growth in the late 19th century due to mass industrialisation in the country
>>
>>18101334
Bud, you don't live in reality. China already beats the US in PPP GDP. It has the largest economy in the world and is beating the US in AI, robotics and electricity generation.
The US can't even keep its government open, but China is one peaking? Get real.
The EU is nothing but a US protectorate. It dies with the US.
>>
>>18101159
It isn't really "Class collaboration" in China, the Capitalist class are completely subservient to the state. If you step out of line asa Capitalist you get a bullet in the head.
>>
Facts have repeatedly told us that Marx and Engels’ analysis of the basic contradictions in capitalist society is not outdated, nor is the historical materialist view that capitalism is bound to die out and socialism is bound to win. This is an inevitable trend in social and historical development. But the road is tortuous. The eventual demise of capitalism and the ultimate victory of socialism will require a long historical process to reach completion. In the meantime, we must have a deep appreciation for capitalism’s ability to self-correct, and a full, objective assessment of the real long-term advantages that the developed Western nations have in the economic, technological, and military spheres. Then we must diligently prepare for a long period of cooperation and of conflict between these two social systems in each of these domains. - Xi Jinping.
>>
>>18101453
Thirties love PPP because it makes India look like more developed economy than Germany rather than the reality of a billion people eating cheap rice counts towards the hypothetical "basket of goods" that goes into the statistic.
>>
>>18101205
>If China were truly socialist, none of these things would exist
The entire point of chinese marxism is that productive forces through history guide the dominance that countries enjoy. This creates conflicts and tensions as dominated countries are alienated from their "essence" in opposition to the dominant ones. Socialism in China doesn't mean planned economies or workers-owned markets, but the idea that the productive forces must serve the interests of the people at hand.

>>18101073
>chinese system adapts itself to grow and develop
>old model becomes unviable
>they somehow can't retransform their productive model
???

>>18101809
>>18101175
He's not completely wrong. The entire outlook for china's economic model is the ambition of developing the productive forces of the country to free themselves from national alienation.
>>
>>18101809
>you step out of line asa Capitalist you get a bullet in the head
And that’s exactly what happened in Fascist Italy. Rich people could do whatever they want as long as they never went against the will of the PNF
>>
>>18101278
And if socialism is inevitable then the Eastern Bloc wouldn't have needed to bankrupt themselves financing proxy wars and 'wars of national liberation' against capitalists.
>>
>>18101055
Not really. The west won't willingly embrace socialism and all the things that come with bureaucratic centralism will wipe away innovation and a population that is reliant on that will be miserable still. What hardcore eastoid commies don't seem to understand is that their system is essentially built on the same eschatological principle of a perfected world which capitalism promised but communism still cannot deliver. Schopenhauer was correct in that any way to establish "the best of all possible worlds" will still result in further misery. You can't satisfy everyone. Someone will always be miserable. And even then, utopias are unstable because the eventual boredom will cause violence because the sedentary life is unfulfilling.

Chinese's TFR is the second lowest in the world at 0.9 child per women, additionally, China is a polluted shithole due to being the de facto slave factory of the West.

A dying people and a dying country.
