By New Testament standards, Muhammad was an antichrist. He denied both the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22). Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. I don't think all Muslims are bad people but just like everyone they are in need of salvation and sin like everyone, Jew and Samaritan and Gentile , and they are Gentiles. There are some noble Muslims. They are not pagans, but they are antichrists, and they belong to a false religion. Islam is an antichrist religion. I don't think it's likely but I do think there's at least some possibility the future upper case A Antichrist will be Muslim though. Either that or by tradition he'll be an Israelite of the tribe of Dan but this is beside the point. Islam is at least an aid to the coming of the Antichrist. Islam is like the shadow version of Christianity. It tries to be Christianity 2.0. Manicheaism, a Persian Gnostic religion, actually tried that before Islam and miserably failed. Islam itself is an Arabian religion, and it syncretizes Rabbinical Judaism with heretical Christianity and Arabian polytheism.
