In honor of Halloween please discuss the religion of Wicca.Brief Summary: Wicca is a pagan religion that originated in England in 1921. Apart from these Gods, Wiccans also believe in the existence of other gods including Eostre, Kali, Yahweh, the Virgin Mary, the Logos, and many others, and in fact the general outlook of Wicca is animistic, seeing the natural world as being filled with many different animating spirits, gods, and angels. Most Wicca believe in reincarnation, and they believe that a person's soul spends time in a realm known as the Summerland for a period of time between death and reincarnation. They believe that mediums can contact these souls in this realm. Magic is the central practice of the Wiccan religion, in particular witchcraft, which is considered a form of white magic by the Wicca. Wicca believe that through the power of spell casting, they can manipulate the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and spirit). These elements they represent with the symbol of the pentagram.Common in Wiccan ritual practice is the drawing of a magic circle to create sacred space for casting spells. Often this is done by pouring salt around the space. An altar is usually set up in the middle where ritual magic is staged.
