What's her face that writes the Harry Potter fables, I forget, anyway: religion isn't very much a theme in her books from what I recall. A similar sort of thing happens in the Mount and Blade universe despite it being in the Middle Ages, there is no real attributions to religion of any kind. It's just this feudal world without the other qualifiers. Funnily enough a vague mention of religion is encountered after you help the tutorial merchant character dispatching bandits in the city.. but again it's not mentioned elsewhere.
