I mean they go on about it's walls comparing them to the great wall of china. These fucking walls were made of mud and were simple to build absolutely no comparison here kek.
The most impressive things about Benin in my opinion was the bronzes and some of their swords they looked cool but honestly I've seen a Benin bronze in my local museum and they look like something a child would make seriously.

Even picrel is giving it too much credit. Whwn libtards say “NOOO we’re talking about the giant walls that surrounded the city!” What they mean is a dirt mound. I’m not kidding, that’s it. It was mounds of dirt. A wall surrounded by dirt and a moat.

According to DEI theory, they actually invented everything but other people took credit due to a highly problematic process called appropriation.

Olfert Dapper did alot of guess work though. He genuinely thought Africans were just white people with black skin, he didn't know just how barbaric and savage Africa was. Look how he had an engraver etch European style buildings in M'banza-Kongo kek. You have to be very skeptical of his work because alot of it was speculative.

One interesting thing about Dapper is how accurate these towers are in his engravings. I wonder if he saw the bronze box miniature or were these just based on Portuguese descriptions? Either way these towers were real there's plenty of evidence of their existence, they most likely collapsed a century or so before the punitive expedition.
>>

I mean, all due respect, the pre-Roman Celts and Germanics were living about like this 2000 years ago before the Romans taught them about civilization.

Any intelligent culture, when faced with a more modern enemy, quickly realizes they must move very quickly to catch up or be subjugated and perish.

Most of Rome's enemies tried to catch up very quickly with their military, technological, and economic might. That's why Rome could no longer steamroll it's neighbors from about 200AD-470AD or so. Every technological, educational, and economic edge; that Rome had, had been taught to it's neighbors by that point.

Africans have never sought to learn. Monkeys don't have intellectual curiosity.

>Most of Rome's enemies tried to catch up very quickly with their military, technological, and economic might.
You do realise Rome adopted a whole myriad of "barbarian" weapons and technologies right? Their famous weapons were literally copies of Celtiberian gear. This bullshit idea that Rome was far more technologically advanced then the Germans and celts needs to fucking die!!

The Germanics were thousands of years ahead of Africans, they had wheels for fuck sake. Africans didn't even have hammers or belts.
>>
>>18111278
I'm gonna need proof that those were anything more than African style mud and stick huts.

I'm descended from Celts and would love to claim some glorious ancient history where we were on par with ancient Rome in civilization, but I'm not gonna believe in some fictional Wakanda. It took about 1000 years after Rome's peak, for the Celtic lands to really get their shit together enough to catch up.

The Celtic and Germanic lands were not really caught up until the medieval era, and that arguably may be because Rome was defeated so thoroughly.

KILL YOURSELF YOU DUMB MUTT!
Bibracte at its height supported a population of up to 30,000 people. It was a CITY with artificial springs, palaces, cobblestone streets and terraced houses. It was one of many cities in Gaul such as Manching and Entremont.
Jean-Claude Golvin pic related is a French architect and archaeologist, if you don't understand how he knows what ancient sites looked like that's your problem. An "argument" from incredulity is not a valid argument.

What an absolute dumb fuck you are. Your knowledge on this subject is literally derived from dumb as fuck memes showing cherry picked British longhouses. The average gallic house was rectangular with lime plaster coating on its walls with a door(some with locks) and a shingle or thatch roof. They were not even huts dumbass because a lot of them had multiple rooms and were not of a simple construction.
Do you know what an open-air museum is? open air museums are built by actual experts, archaeologists and historians, they are connected to prestigious universities. These houses are recreated with care, with passion of people who have studied these ancient cultures for decades.

Now show me an open-air museum in western Europe that has roundhouses. That's my challenge to you dumbass.

They were the most superstitious and (through practice) wickedest people in Africa. The Bantu are a strange kind of people. I don't find them less intelligent than people like Nilotics or khoids, nor inherently evil or perverted like Orientalids. But they have an extraordinary weakness to superstition and 'taking ideas on'. It's no wonder they, even now, are eating albinos in Nigeria and bashing bald men's heads open to find gold in Kenya, as their relatives in the USA believe in Wakanda and a subterranean aborted fetus uprising.

Very different Europeans did cruel things like that out of a sense of justice and in Vlad's case justice and trauma as he was likely abused as a boy in ottoman captivity.
Africans did unspeakably cruel things to completely innocent people to please their jungle gods. In Buganda they would literally boil children alive to predict the future. The kind of barbarity you could witness in pre-colonial Africa is hard to fathom.
