Historically speaking, how could he have survived this?
>>
>>18113071
Admitting he wasn't a God and begging for mercy for being a rabble rouser to Pilate might've saved him.
>>
>>18113071
He didn't. The resurrection narrative only came about much later, after even Paul was dead.

Doesn't Paul allude to some spiritual-ghost-aetheral resurrection instead of a physical one?

No.
This theory is based on taking his phrase "spiritual body" as meaning "not a body at all" which is asinine. Verbatim, he says that the flesh is changed into a new kind of flesh. Which is sort of the logical conclusion of a "resurrected" body that no longer ages or dies.

How come the Resurrection narrative isn't in the earliest Gospel (Mark) and why do all of the narratives seem to have contradictory details?
>>
>>18113071
pointing society in the right direction or even a couple inches closer towards the light and the ultimate truth (much less heading toward it at full speed) will necessarily and inevitably lead you to a gruesome death

he didn't exist /thread

The fact that everyday people have suffered far worse and crueler/more painful deaths than crucifixion really makes Jesus' death less impressive in retrospect.

Many people who think that he didn’t survive, and that the resurrection is made up, failed to underestimate the importance of the divine. There is evidence proving that the crossing of the Red Sea happened, even Sodom and Gomorrah. Even many eye witnesses have claimed to see Jesus over many centuries.

The gospel is one of the most reliable historical texts because it is written by eyewitness accounts, and a lot of other people with historical records can confirm that Jesus existed and that he died and rose from the dead.

I personally believe that he returned from the dead and is the son of God. He is our Lord in our savior. He’s helped me at my lowest and he’s pulling me back towards a path of righteousness and good.

I pray for many of you as well that he will help you too for I’ve come to now see the true meaning of his love and I love all of humanity now even though who have been lost broken, corrupted, there is still hope for a lot of them

He didn't, that's the whole point.
