Halloween, All Hallow's Eve, Allhallowtide, Reformation Day, whatever you want to call it, it's like this date or triduum (October 31 - November 2) is what quintessentially defines the dividing line between Catholics and Protestants. I mean think about it: Catholics literally embrace their most distinctive doctrines at this time like the treasury of merit, purgatory, and biggest of all, indulgences! All of which the Protestant reformation was founded on as being against! Also literally the reformation began on October 31st when Luther nailed the 95 theses to the door because he was questioning indulgences and purgatory! These three days, the first day especially (Halloween) is the most essential date for Catholics vs Protestants.
