It's actually a pretty major win because the allies also had internment camps for people they considered subversive and untrustworthy, just look at the Japanese internment camps in America, which were also unsanitary and filthy despite American soil not being attacked after Pearl Harbor and there being no logistical strain in supplying those camps, unlike the concentration camps used by the Germans.The Germans are ultimately responsible for hundreds of thousands of people dying due to being in their care, but not because of a made up genocidal campaign. It was typhus fever, and starvation, that killed those people.
