It is a little amusing how Christians are all so certain that only their specific sect of Christianity is saved whereas everyone else is damned. My grandmother about had a heart attack when my brother converted to Catholicism because "It's pagan voodoo and he's going to Hell now!" You'd think after thousands of years Christians might've worked out some kind of cohesive overarching theology but no. Makes it hard to buy this shit as really the "word of God" if the Bible leaves room for this many fractured sects.

Don't blame this old lady, but not for the reasons you're imagining. Latinx Catholicism has become synonymous with Catholicism as a whole, since Europe is secular (i.e., gay) and the image we have is of Catholics who worship Mesoamerican and African deities from the colonial era. They use Catholicism as a smokescreen. I doubt there's really a single devout Catholic in Latinx America. Due to African influence, Latinx people don't know what Catholic saints really are; they generally treat them as a kind of mini-god, lol.

most people are happy to worship a devil in hell and hope that when they're dead they'll be rewarded for it, that describes most things that people erroneously today call "christianity"

We have. Thing is, you and your brother are still free to say "Fuck you, God. Your son's death on the cross means nothing to me. I choose Hell." You'll regret it one day, and I'll laugh. Kill yourself.

That is cult_thinking

Where religion makes their followers think they know things the rest of the world dont know or understand or that they are the only ones going to heaven, all that is total cult thinking

Avoid people who project this shit on others

My mother is similar, she is way more upset about my little sister choosing wrong kind of Christianity than she ever was about me leaving Christianity.

Read a book. Even more relevant, read one on history.

>Break off from a "pagan" christian religion.
>Still use their holy book and sacred rituals.
Its just contrarian retardation.

The fact sects exist doesn't mean there's room for them in the bible

Why is it wrong to do these things if there's no God?

>Why is it wrong to do these things if there's no God?
Would I be right to translate this to "How would you coerce me to not do any of those things without threatening me with divine punishment or promising divine reward?" Or are you suggesting that God is necessary for people to have any subjective sense of right and wrong?

Every day i am reminded people on 4chan dont interact with people outside and there communication networks starts and ends with those online, which they somehow know there thought processes intimately while also being as wrong as possible.

It's a little amusing how Ishtar necromancers are all so certain that all Christians think alike.
