Why can't America look this cool all the time?
That gilded age neoclassicism was made of papier mâché and fell apart after a few weeks, some wasn't though.I had a strange dream about this place, I was on a rowboat going between the plinths with the vases on them in the Palace of Fine Arts which is how I recognize it. It had apparently flooded and was overgrown like a lagoon, the roof must have collapsed because I remember thinking it was dangerous and seeing a mess. The end of my journey was some island with a wooden shack built on it.Never been there, didn't know what it was until I saw a picture of it. I like to imagine I was seeing it through the eyes of someone in the future after global warming or maybe just abandonment and erosion, more likely I saw it somewhere before then forgot about it and the memory resurfaced in a dream.
>>18129589Government doing stuff is Communism, so all you're getting is whatever is profitable for private fast food companies and shit
too many niggers,
>>18129589The maintenance was insanely expensive and most of those buildings were fake. The only nice one left is now the field museum in Chicago. The rest was turned into an elaborate park system that including Buckingham fountain.
>>18129589Because the bankers rather have the USA looking like this
>>18129643>The maintenance was insanely expensiveSo much for the economy
>>18129589Someone has to pay for it.
>>18129615This. This is the reason and noone on the right wants to accept it, so here we are.
>>18129589Jews.
America does look cool. From the Gotham buildings to the niggerhuts and niggerslums to the plantation homes, and the vast wilderness. All of it is beautiful.
>>18130729No fed, it really isn’t.
>>18129643This is a lying jewish person.>plaster was expensive!What a massive, fat kike.
>>18131202>impressed by plasterFucking hell, they really are mutts aren't they?
>>18131200Fuck the government but I still love my country regardless. So either post beautiful America or kys
>>18130526>>18131202Yes. Because it was plaster and would need to be constantly rebuilt.
>>18131481It was staff, not plaster.
>>18131599I wonder if it is still cheap and could be done again somewhere for an event.
This could've been a great thread about American architecture but OP dropped the ball and ended up being an insufferable twat. Many such cases
>>18131700Staff contains glycerine. It goes up easily. That's why the Fairs had a habit of burning down.I wonder if you're still allowed to build with it.
>>18131723Maybe it could be stabilized or a similar thing could be done with a foam? Temporary monumental architecture is just such a fun idea.
>>18131806>or a similar thing could be done with a foam?Yeah, or that spray insulation.Build a basically structure out of wood, fill in with spray insulation, then paint.Honestly, though, cheap wood + sheet rock would be enough.3D printers and CNC can make your ornate embellishments.
