Picrel was a Baptist for most of his life until he converted to Anglicanism in his later years. I can't find out why he converted, there's nothing about it

He didn't "convert". If you read his sermons before & after he accepted to minister in Brighton there's literally no change in the tone or the experimental nature of his sermons, he saw an opportunity to preach there & took it
