I had a vision that I traveled 300 years into the future. I looked around at the metropolis city and all the technology and said "Jesus Christ!" and a cyberpunk girl standing by said, "Who's that?" Then it hit me, all the people living back in my time are wasting their lives worshiping this guy as God and it means absolutely nothing. He's completely forgotten about in a few centuries and all his promises of his Kingdom are left unfulfilled for the rest of history. His followers were just primitive cult members who are nothing but ash in a cemetery, that was later bulldozed to make room for the AI power plant.

If your religious beliefs are so shallow a single dream can convince you to switch faiths, why would I listen to you at all about what faith to believe in?
>>
>>18173825
I seriously doubt all traces of Christianity's existence are going to be gone in three hundred years. We still have scholars today studying evidence for Egyptian religion that goes back over five thousand years in the past.
>>
I had a vision where I traveled 300 years into the future, and when I talked to people there they all kept telling me that OP is a massive faggot
>>
>>18173830
I'm an Atheist
>>
>>18173825
Worshiping Jesus was never the path of salvation that he taught anyways. Its not like that sort of behavior will ever save anyone from anything anyways, so I don't know why they do.
>>
>>18173841
Absolutely seething that my vision (like Apostle Paul's) reveals that your god's name isn't even recognizable to a future common street hooker. It's only known to AI scholars of the ancient past, who see it as primitive mythology for retards.
>>
>>18173825
that's a man
>>
>>18173852
Yeah he did, he said if you don't believe he is the I AM then you are dead in your sins. It's all about worshiping him for salvation. Too bad none of it worked and the world continued on without him.
>>
>>18173861
300 years into the future estrogen technology has gotten so good they pass extremely well.
>>
>>18173867
Think about it... worship of anything can never save any people from being destroyed. Its a death trap, a heresy, a false teaching. Worship is not any part of the mode of salvation that Jesus taught.
>>
>>18173845
Yeah, and you became an atheist because of a dream you had. Why should I give a fuck about your belief when it's that meaningless to you?
>>
>>18173825
300 years? Retarded spam bot. First of all, Jesus was alive 2000 years ago. That's almost 7x as much as your number, what makes the next 300 so special? Secondly, 2000 years isn't long either. You've been alive (you aren't alive, but the average lurker) has been alive 20 years, that's 1/100 of 2000, just what you've already lived. You might someday live 5% of the time since Jesus, all by yourself! People used to be crazy about Jesus because he was a recent phenomenon.
>>
>>18173825
Then you went 3 million years in the future and what did you see?

When I was a kid and I realized that all of the "mythology" of ancient societies was really a legitimate belief that living people once held, I realized how retarded it really was. Especially when religitards today get uncomfortable at the fact when you bring it up.
>uh all those trillions of dead people were wrong but I am le right
The utter hubris.

obvious bot post

>Christbeaners are just calling everyone a bot now
Okay then Paco tell me why your religion is true and ancient ones aren't.
>>
>>18174443
better yet, if you believe the people of the past were at least as smart as us, why don't you believe in any one ancient religion? it's not like they didn't know about other faiths either, Or maybe you (as a child) had it all figured out where everyone else in history got it wrong with your profound observation?
>>
>>18174452
>better yet,
Nope, sorry! Not what I asked.

To be fair, you need a very high IQ to understand my post, but I will explain it for you: as a religious system, from a secular perspective there is no difference between Christianity and any other historical or currently existing religious system so defined.
My question to YOU is why the presence of other competing beliefs means that they are all necessarily wrong. You evidently don't think your own positions on any given issue are incorrect given only the presence of alternative perspectives, do you?

God hates you more than you can know.

Our super advanced technology
>>
>>18173825
Atheists on average produce a 1.6 replacement rate while on average religious groups have a replacement at least 2.0 replacement rate. The genes and cultural expressions that would promote anti-religious sentiment clearly not beneficial evolutionary speaking and the future's religious generations will inevitably the ones to determine the value of Atheists' legacy (it's not looking good).
>>
>>18174443
christianity not ancient enough for you?
>>
>>18174248
How is this experience different from a prophetic dream or waking vision, though?
>>

>Christbeaners are just calling everyone a bot now
they should know.
>>
>>18174514
not true. atheism is growing. people born to religious parents become atheists. the other direction is exceedingly rare.
>>
>>18175638
They arent. If you base your faith on a single dream then you have no faith at all and will just bounce to a new religion when you have a different dream

Suppose 3i Atlas is actually a probe/beacon. Humans are detected, explored and 2 years or so into the future, giant motherships, bigger than Earth in size come forth. Comitee descends in dropship, picrel looking people come out, and they claim they're daemons from Hell Star System. Their information is already known on Earth by then, Sol Systems Sun is damaged (this year you had worrying ammounts of sol weather shenanigans for instance). But, and here's the but, they can only take with them to a habitable planet those who outright reject religions and accept Darkness and believe in Hell. This is done because, due to demonic complexion, metaphysical light is a contaminant.

Would you accept or believe in your religion? Would you risk it?

Additionally, they would speak a language similar to japanese and would have culturally some Affinity, albeit dark.
Space travel would take thousands of years in suspended animation (sleeping if you may), except unless you receive undeadification.

>Christian control over society led to the downfall and bickering of the European states until they called Crusades, several of which almost didnt fail
>Secularism led to the most powerful world order ever seen and unmitigated prosperity across the West, including space travel

I see your tree has only borne rotten fruit, yet you still cling to it and hope it will provide nourishment. Absolute cope.

I feel like this level of historical ignorance should be grounds for a permanent ban from the board.
