There's a story about him personally shooting a captured SA officer during the Night of Long Knives, but it was told by SS officers to prosecutors in Munich in 1954 so we can safely assume they were subjected to barbaric and brutal torture, both mental and physical, as well as threats of violence and rape against their families (especially the young and the males), as well as complete financial domination and ruin, as well as lies of great rewards or exoneration if they made up stories about Hitler and the Nazis, since this was all documented and common for post-war Allied tribunals in those times. So take that story with a hefty dose of salt.
