>>18177253No. First off those blacks were singing in english and playing American instruments. Country music is not black though they may have been involved since it was so big in the south. It's very British/Irish old english inspired music. The same with folk music. Blues is probably thiers. Guys like Bo Didley and Chuck Berry did inspire lots of British rock.

Wrong. English folk ballad traditions pre-dates the US by hundreds of years. Google the Child Ballads. Barbara Allen is vastly older than anything called bluegrass or blues.
