The one thing that strikes me here is that they had surprisingly little german DNA for the most part, many of them are more french than german

There's no such things as "French" or "Iberian" DNA in nobility, it's all Goths and Franks. They were all 100% germanics

Franks completely mixed with Gallo-Romans during the middle ages. Plantagenets were R1b-U152, etc.
