Marcion is the true Christianity.
Paul's ethics do make a lot more sense if the main reason he thought the Jewish law didn't have to be obeyed and wouldn't save anyone was simply because it wasn't from the true God. Then faith doesn't act as an alternative to *any* morality, just specifically the "morality" that involves things like sacrificing animals, cutting your genitals, and following obscure dietary laws and holy day observations. Hence why Paul still says things like "wrongdoers won't inherit the kingdom of God" and that you have to sow to the spirit rather than the flesh and so on.Galatians 5:6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working (demonstrated?) through love.
>>18222266And the true God is merciful and doesn't hold sins against people, so they can be readily forgiven for past faults, but they do have to be healed of the sinful nature through the Holy Spirit before they can enter the Kingdom of Heaven, which involves their cooperation.
So then Jesus' crucifixion served the purpose of breaking the devil or the demiurge's hold over humanity, more in line with the ancient Christus Victor or Ransom atonement theories than the absurdity that Christ died to satisfy God the Father's own need for retribution and inability to be merciful otherwise.
>>18222278>And the true God is merciful and doesn't hold sins against people, so they can be readily forgiven for past fault>but they do have to be healed of the sinful nature through the Holy Spirit before they can enter the Kingdom of Heaven>Gods love is unconditional!>on this conditionYour idea of god is limited and sick.
>>18222290I hope this is a joke
>>18222211The perceived true form of a false religion is still objectively false.
All I'm saying is that you can't have a paradise full of evil people. The evil people have to become not evil first.
>>18222297paradise is not what you think, neither is evil
>>18222211>old testament is... LE BAD>discludes the Johanine books, objectively the most sublime in the NT>denies the deeper and complex challenge of making sense of the OT and it's connection to the NTngmi
>>18222211The Marcions... where are they now? Lol
>>18222384In the kingdom not of this world, probably.
