>god gave me the right to rule
>people unironically bought that
How does that make any sense???

>republicans depose a monarch
>mass starvation and endless reign of terror follows
I guess there is divine punishment
>>
Men have the right to rule over their own house.
Rights are inalienable specifically because God grants them.

Kings didn't conjure appear out of the ground and convince everyone to start following them
It was the most common organization of people across the entire world before the industrial revolution
>>

>How does that make any sense???
Well, if God didn't give a king a right to rule then they wouldn't be King. They're King because God favored them, otherwise someone else would be King instead. This is basically how the Chinese Mandate of Heaven also worked. It's circular reasoning, it doesn't have to make sense
>>

Christian Theology supports Monarchy.
Book of Kings specifically supports Monarchical system and God given authority.
Christianity teaches you to accept Earthily authority (as long as doing so doesn't contradic God's law of course, see the story of Joseph of Egypt), as it is God that has placed them there.
>>
>>18225755
>How does that make any sense???
it doesn't, thats why it was the cause of the first major christian schism

"the Spirit comes from the Father" got changed to "the Spirit comes from the Father and the Son" implying the Son had kids and that their bloodline has the right to rule.
>>
>>18225755
It makes total sense, on rational, logical, and even instinctual basis. Its you who are the silly person for not being able to grasp it.
>>

>implying the Son had kids and that their bloodline has the right to rule.
That's not what it implies. It implies that the Holy Spirit is not equal in the Trinity as the Father and the Son, because he is commanded by both of them; destroying Christian theology
>>
>>18225755
All religion worked like this before Christ and there's been a good deal of backsliding. It's a pagan ethic.

How do you know that?

>God has a plan for history

>God protects them and raises them up
It's just the way things work. No one rules except by the will of God. No battle is won without the approval of God. No seed germinates without his word, and no crop is reaped unless he wills it. And no man is born, nor dies, unless it is the will of the Most High.

How do you fit in Stalin in that worldview?

Its weird that you even call yourself a christian when you don't even understand the trinity
>>
>>18226057
I get my trinity theology from the Orthodox and your pic ain't it.
I reject Roman version because Popes are clearly not Christian, so why would I care about what their fake and gay sect says?

It was the other way around. Some people were so kino they took the throne and people said they were blessed.

It’s not that hard to empathize with. More people would have died for MJ than any French king.

God wanted Stalin to rule the Soviet Union. Simple as that.

Through out history 95% of people didn't know how to read or write. Also, you saw what happened to those who didn't buy it.

Yes I understand, but why is the question. WHY?

The only way to know why is to know how it all ends. Then you look back. As of now, I don't know. Perhaps without Stalin Communism is still a powerful threat. Maybe a nuclear war happened. Maybe the Nazis won. There are so many possibilities as to how things could have turned out that it's better to focus on the present than on the past. Use the past to guide your actions, but remember that you are only but a part of a greater and more perfect act, which is the universe undergoing time.
>>
>>18225912
the one thing you can say in favor of circular logic is it makes sense. It works in every way unless you think God is esoteric and his true meaning is hidden. That's a slightly more advanced form of state cult
>>
>>18225755
Well, if God didn't want them there, surely there would be someone else?

Adding to >>18226178, I feel like a lot of those questions don't factor in that many of those things are only bad because we can't really do anything about it. They are going from a "dying = bad" situation and that the ideal government is one of peace and prosperity on Earth. Letting Stalin rule is only a problem if I'm the one letting him be there, God can make up to those people, I can't. Christianity is a cult of the dead, we're not sanctified in life but in death, the materialist will see this and be horrified, claim it's a death cult. But it's really hard to discuss the spiritual when it's not being taken into consideration at all.
>>
>>18225755
It didn't, but they would torture and kill you if you contested that claim, so you kept your mouth shut.

>another thread of someone pretending to be retarded
no retard a grey bearded man did not descend from the sky to give the king an autocracy loicense. legitimist philosophy has radically differently and vastly more sophisticated justifications.
>>
>>18225755
>nothing gave me the right to rule
>people unironically bought that
How does that make any sense???
>>
>>18226239
In most modern countries, the leader is elected, so the people have given him the right to rule.
>>
>>18226225
>no retard a grey bearded man did not descend from the sky to give the king an autocracy loicense
That is unironically what they would say back then, though. Typically it went "I'm the Pope, and as the Vicar of Christ on Earth, I talked to God and he said you're good to be king. Anyone disobeying you is going against God's Will and will be spiritually punished."

Then if the monarch pissed off the pope, he would say "You are displeasing God, stop it or be excommunicated." And if he was excommunicated, the divine right to rule would be revoked, undermining the monarch's legitimacy.

>people

I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to rise up and fix mistakes.” So he said to the paralyzed MAN, “I tell you, arise, take your coffin, and go to the House of Lords.”
