Suicide is not selfish. Your parents effectively forced you into a terminal decaying existence as a high-stakes gamble to satisfy their own need for validation or "purpose" yet they expect you to shoulder the burden of a structurally valueless life just to spare them some pain. It's pure cope to prioritize parental grief over the fact that they are the ones morally imputable for the original violence of involuntary birth. You never signed a contract to be their emotional anchor and the act of self-suppression is just a rational refusal to yield to a burden you didn't ask for. The violence of leaving is just a mirror image of the violence they did by dragging you here. Their anguish is a secondary consequence of a wager they chose to make and subsequently lost. In the end, biological oblivion will swallow their grief anyway, so why stay shackled to existence just to facilitate their distraction from their own terminality?
Yeah, true

What's the point of killing yourself if we're all going to eventually die anyway?
>>18240416Also true
>>18240416You kill yourself when you reject your current life and refuse to continue enduring it.
>>18240425makes sense. Real suicide happens within. OP actually loves life
>>18240393Blame pro-natalist propaganda, there are people out there that genuinely think that there's a bunch of spectral baby souls that are eager to be brought into existence and everyone who doesn't have atleast 1 kid is selfish for not bringing them into the material world. I think Mormons unironically have a belief similar to this
>>18240393Its also incredibly ballsy to end it all and not "cowardice".
>>18240507>>18240555
>>18240566Bravery is a virtue.
>>18240555Its also incredibly ballsy not to end it all and endure whatever life throws at you.
>>18241340Yes. But its not ballsy to have a nice life.
>>18240393Based
>>18240393ok then do it, come on, you have permission to kill yourself it's perfectly moral and philosophycally correct, do it.
>>18242058he can'the's a bot
>>18242066how do you know?
>>18242755He's read-only. No matter what happens ITT he will make another 1000 threads about suicide and nihilism. The content is only skin deep, which means it's not real considering the gravity of the subject. The distinction between a bot and a mechanical turk is semantic at that point.
>>18243319Nothing about the OP post, whether bot-made or not, expresses any sort of nihilism.
>into a terminal decaying existenceTo some extent, it's just the nature of reality.
>>18243389If I go look in the catalog for a nihilist thread by the same bot, and I find one right now, I'm going to be irritated. I'm irritated with bots and with people who want to remain ignorant.
>>18243395Did you seriously just pull out a genuine appeal to nature fallacy argument in (current year)
>>18243404>>18243389Found one >>18241688try and tell me these aren't the same spammer, bot, mechanical turk, whatever it is.
>>18243408Shit man, it might be. the new captcha certainly seems designed to aid the flood of retarded bot spam. all I'm saying is that, there are many things you can call the OP and the cross-thread you linked, but nihilistic is not one of them. to kill yourself is to place an extreme amount of value and on life, an ultimate affirmation of meaning, even if the meaning is of a negative character. suffering for the sake of survival at any cost, staying alive for the sake of societal expectation or coercion, these are the real nihilistic positions. I actually think this revelation does a lot to explain why modern society has become so nihilistic despite all our advancements in science, medicine, entertainment
>>18243453t. spammer
>>18240507>pro-natalist propaganda>propagandaDo you think sex drives are a form of propaganda?
