General Order No. 11, issued by Ulysses S. Grant on December 17, 1862, was a notorious, antisemitic directive expelling all Jews from his military district (parts of Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee) to stop black market cotton trade, causing an uproar, leading to its immediate revocation by President Lincoln, and later prompting Grant to repudiate the order, though it remains a stain on his record,.
Key Details of General Order No. 11:
Date: December 17, 1862.
Issuer: Major-General Ulysses S. Grant.
Purpose: To curb corruption and the illicit black market in Southern cotton, which Grant blamed on Jewish traders.
Content: Expelled all Jews "as a class" from his department within 24 hours, ordering them to leave or face arrest.
Impact: Forced Jewish families (like some in Paducah, KY) from their homes and sparked outrage.
Resolution: Jewish leaders, including Cesar Kaskel, protested to President Lincoln, who quickly revoked the unconstitutional order.

Grant was trying to stop cotton sales that were funding the Confederate war machine, couldn't do it because a lot of people wanted the cotton--many planters were willing to put aside their patriotic principles and sell their product to Yankees rather than let it rot in a barn somewhere. He later reckoned that the war could have ended two years earlier otherwise.

>The states of Alabama and Mississippi were at the heart of the "cotton garden", where a significant amount of the world's cotton supply was grown. When the war began, Southern planters were suddenly unable to sell their fluffy white product. Some ardent patriots chose to burn the stuff rather than let Yankees have it, but many had no special objection to selling it to cotton traders who were following the advance of Grant's army southward. The North's textile mills needed cotton and the South needed to sell and obtain good Yankee currency--cotton prices were now at their highest since Thomas Jefferson was president. It was the peculiar situation that could arise from a civil war; business was still going to go on as usual.

>Grant in his innocent way wanted this cotton trade to stop as the influx of good Yankee currency into the South was being used to purchase war materials from Europe, brought in through blockade runners, and it no doubt allowed the war to go on longer than it might otherwise. He could not do it; business leaders and politicians who were in on the take proved a force greater than one well-intentioned general could overcome.[32]

The black market in cotton was a major distraction for Union armies in the south. The 1864 Red River campaign turned into a big cotton grab, with the army and U.S. navy snatching everything they could with the usual crowd of spectators trailing along. They were so focused on war booty that they were routed by a much smaller Confederate force. Some Union officer in Louisiana wrote an expose book about the cotton black market.

The Confederate assets that were abroad after they lost were transferred to the Zionist league. I shit you not.

The US Federal Government has always been such slaves to the jews. Like a moth with a fly. You can't keep the two separated. America was always destined to failure.
Your "noble mission" sirs.

There weren't more than maybe 4,000 total Jews in the US back then. The overwhelming majority came here 1880 to 1920.
